MXE and Poppers (alkyl nitrites)

So I have a respectable amount of experience with MXE and it would be safe to say I have developed a tolerance over months. Anyway, one time I tried using poppers, a thing I otherwise have great disdain for, while on mxe. I thought that when the subjective effects of the poppers hit I ceased to feel the typical affects from Mxe he grew fimilar with ie the mind f*** , the typical dissociation, or any of the other commonly associated mexeffects. Now I don't have many other friends whom are familiar with what these things mean; thus I decided to do homework. The good gods of the internet and his other reptilian friends told me mexxeh is an NMDA receptor antagonist; he also anecdotally heard nitrites exhibit a similar pharmacologic effects. (This has a very high probability of being wrong and any scientific articles relevant would be awesome) Now, generally speaking, I am skeptical ofthe scientific knowledge provided to me by my my only natural predators, but he may be on to something. in his words, it is obviously not placebo but the nitrites completely blocked the vast majority of mexis effect for its short duration before resuming my stunted usual dissociated state as expected from his mex dose/roa. this is absolute Speculation because I know nothing on the topic but could this be due to a greater degree of competiton for from pops vs MX for the (or selective) NMDA receptors? Has any other reptilan experienced this occurrence or does anyone have any ideas as to why this happened and or what caused this? Any response would be appreciated, this is my first post. This may be relevant for temporary relief for someone stuck in a m hole who needs to be 100% clear headed for 30 seconds albeit its an extreme example. Plus I'd love it if BL would be cool enough to respond can't find any ideas or awnsers elsewhere. Spelling is skewed since no prehensile fingers on reptiles.

Sorry for the long story and formatting but this is a cool things that may actually be relevant beyond typical accessible arylcyclohexamine research if I'm onto something. Encourage a newbie ;)

this is nothing more than an anecdote at best, it belongs in Psychedelic Drug Discussion.

As far as I know isoamyl nitrite and the like aren't NMDA antagonist dissociatives in the same way that MXE/K are, and even if they were that doesn't make sense that they would bring sobriety. It's interesting nonetheless; maybe there's a nitric oxide-releaser drug that would be a dissociative antidote.

i'll edit your post and remove the iguana nonsense, we don't allow that kind of stuff here as it doesn't provide any protection and just makes everything more confusing to read
