My 1st time with MXE was at a dose of 25mg which was very pleasant, but not a 'full' experience. So today I decided to bring up my dose to 40mg and evaluate the effects. I am not familiar with dissociatives at all, having tried DXM once (no fun) and have had 3 bumps of Ketamine in my life (2 occasions). I am very experienced with weed and different psychedelics (2c-x, lsd, mushrooms). However, after today I am learning more and more about the dissociative state which is actually pretty neat.

This time line is not 100% accurate, for obvious reasons =/

+0:00 - Swallowed 40mg MXE on an empty stomach, did a few chores then went to lay back in bed.

+0:30 - First effects noticed. Feels like a pleasant euphoria throughout my body

+0:45 - Effects intensifying, visual field seems.. different?

+1:00 - Around this time I begin paying less attention to the television and more to my surroundings. I can hear things outside my window and they sound quite strange. I think to myself how different this is from what I am used to.

+1:20 - I notice I am less sensitive to touch and begin slapping my arms and legs only to feel about 50% of my hand (I thought this was pretty funny). I begin to think about the drug + other things, and experience a strange bout of confusion for what felt like 3-6 minutes. After this subsided I stood up to see if I could walk. Getting up was easy and walking felt really weird and rigid so I laid back down.

+1:45 - I get a phone call. I really should not have answered the call because I had no idea who it was and communication seemed weird and difficult. Luckily it was my friend so I didn't need to deal with anything important. I grab everything I need and head out the door. I wanted to take my car but I knew this was a terrible idea. But if I was tripping on a phen like 2C-I I would have few hesitations to hop in my car (his house is just down the road!). Again, walking seemed slow and awkward but my legs adapted to my altered state in a few steps. Outside is also.. different? Everything appears to be moving slower, but it's not very noticeable.

+2:15 I get picked up along the way which was a nice surprise and head to the grocery store. My friend buys food and we dick around in the store for a little bit. I notice a slight change in the way I act and a little boost of personality and removal of inhibitions. We spend around 25 minutes in the store and I notice the effects diminishing.

Once we got back we smoked a little bit of weed which was pretty good and I slowly returned back to baseline in about 2 hours.

From what I read the come-up takes as long as 2 hours but I don't seem to think this at all. I think I plateaued at +1:20 after the confusion went away which lasted between 1 + 1/2 to 2 hours. The come-up was not bad at all, my only complaint was the confusion.

It was a really good experience but as of now I still find psychedelics far better for my research. I bet MXE + psychedelics would be frickin' ace.

Haha that really made me laugh about slapping yourself, I've definitely tried that and thought how hilariously ridiculous it would look to an outsider! Very funny image. I'd agree also with the come up being around an hour. I'd also recommend mixing with psychedelics but be warned in my experience it potentiates them ALOT. I took a moderate dose of mush, I was feeling them but it was not intense or a full blown trip at all, no visuals to start with just a very pleasant change in thought process. I took 20mg MXE 2hours in, then 4hours into the mush trip (technically should have been coming down!) I started to trip quite strongly. I got lots of open eye visuals and such incredible peaceful feelings, I thought of it as the contentness you get from MDMA but without any of the rushes of euphoria, energy or clarity, just the feeling of everything being just right the way it is.

Another thing I found on MXE which you got as well was the loss of motor coordination, that kind of robo-walk, rigid feeling. I found it really amusing however because I kept walking into doors or walls (didn't hurt at all) and this made me laugh everytime!
