Music you grew up to...

[Help?!?!]

My father always enjoyed listening to smooth sounds like Alice in Chains, Sublime, Johnny Cash, Stone Temple Pilots, and I believe he would listen to the Screaming Trees occasionally as well. I currently love and have loved all these musicians/acts.

^ I gotta say, it's pretty similar to the evolution of my musical taste. NONE of my friends know that I ever owned all the N'Sync and Backstreet Boys albums during my pre-teen years...and none of them ever will. That's a secret I take to my grave.

When I was young and couldn't sleep, my dad would throw me in the car, crank up the heat and put on Barry White, James Brown, Parliament, etc. and we'd just cruise around Green Bay for an hour or so. He's also from southern Indiana, so I was taught very early on to love John Mellencamp. My mom had pretty diverse tastes - Bon Jovi and Sublime were on constant play.

Wow I didnt think anyone in green bay even was on here, Anyways I grew up listening to the 80s, MJ, Madonna guns n roses Nsync and all that just because my parents listend to it. Not to say it was all bad though... Lots of memorys of being a kid
