On two seperate occassions now I have had the combination of good music and LSD tear me apart emotionally and bring me to tears.
I honestly think music and psychedelics are one of the most holy, and amazing combinations imaginable.

^ This song and acid... Amazing.

Yeah, i have a fondness for psychedelics and darkpsy; you can really feel your way through the complexity of the multiple layers that makeup the track. Of course it's not everyone's cup-o-tea.. but it's usually the most amazing way for me to lose myself into a realm of infinite imagination where the music is acting as a foundation to the story your creating and exploring through dancing.

And on the opposite side of that coin, i been brought to tears with ambient music that carries enormous amounts of emotional depth.

My absolute favourite album to trip to is by Koan - 'When the Silence is Speaking.'

This is my favourite track but it should be listened to as part of the whole album - this is a track toward the end of the album.

On various trips I have both laughed and cried with joy whilst on other occasions I have wept with geniune sadness for the widespread unhappiness in the world. If you get this album, make sure you drop these guys a message on soundcloud and tell them how awesome they are. They are wonderful, warm people. Reflected in the beauty of their music.

Jam music is how I got introduced to psychedelics. I was experimenting on my own and falling into a new group of friends way headier than I. The Grateful Dead > moe. > Lotus > The Disco Biscuits > String Cheese Incident. This and other jam/festival/bluegrass bands have formed the majority of my experiences because a great many have been at concerts and shows. I'm really into the music of those bands. Their beauty and awesomeness, especially while being improvised live, is truly transcendent. Very special stuff. These bands can make me cry and free my soul. Seriously, they have soundtracked some of the very best moments in my life.

I like to listen to supremely psychedelic music while sober, such as psytrance, to kind of put me in that headspace whenever I wish. I would say EDM in general, is great for that.

Apologies for double posting but I have some musical joy to spread.

Another wonderful track by Koan - Unique Moment (Green Mix) - amazing use of vocal synths (I think that's what they are)

As for electro house, Deadmau5 can be pretty amazing. My favourite track is Strobe. An absolutely fantastic track and, in my opinion (not that it is worth very much), the most wonderful, subtle drop. If you don't want to dance at 6.44 then you're probably not human :) If you listen to the track, don't skip ahead to 6.44. It is a lovely slow burning track - give it a chance :)
