Bluelight Crew
Dose{ 1.2g. Second time shrooms. Picture of species (not P. Cubensis) Link to first experience -- 0.75g}
Set{ Neutral mood, watching Star Trek }
Setting{ Family went away for a wedding, I had the house to myself mostly. My brother and his friend were loud }
Chronometer{
T+0 : 5:45pm
T+20m : Onset (somatic effects)
T+40m --> T+3h : Peak (stimulating, very visual, amazement)
T+3h --> T+5h : Come-down (tired, dysphoria, 'disjointed')
}
Mental effects{
Stimulation: My mind was stimulated and many things ran through my head during the trip, including personal things and thoughts about society
Vertigo: This very odd feeling of 'brain-shock' in my head was, during the peak, intense and continuous. Usually it presents itself in a short burst of shock, but during the trip it was not only stronger than normal but also continuously present
Somatosensory: My body continuously sent pleasure signals
Tactile: My sense of touch was greatly enhanced, similar to what happens on MDMA
Silence: At first my verbal thoughts were things like "wow." Eventually, once the effects reached a certain point, they just stopped and I was completely engaged in the experience. It felt very peaceful to sit in silence without thoughts
Confusion: Doing every-day tasks was not easy. EG, playing a song on the computer, wiping my ass, or walking down a hallway
Cosmic joy: I easily laughed and smiled. At one point while I was using the restroom I had a sort of 'cosmic laughter' while the euphoria and vertigo and stimulation increased 10-fold
Come-down: When the stimulation ran out of steam, many of the effects were trailing off and I became tired and dysphoric. My mind was still fucked, though, and without the beautiful trip holding me together, during the come-down I felt too "disjointed." At T+~5h I ate .75mg clonazepam, insufflated 6mg hydromorphone, and ate a meal and felt better
}
Open Eye Visual effects{
Movement illusions: Things appear to be moving then they are not. At one point the carpet seemed to be the furry back of a large creature moving back and forth
Flowing illusions: At times the carpet appeared to be flowing and liquidy, sometimes flowing very fast away from me like a river
Pattern illusions: Simple curvy icon-like patterns appeared all over the carpet, seemingly embedded in it like a heavy object leaves an indention in the carpet. They readily appeared without having to stare for a time and looked very real. Sometimes these patterns were spinning. Patterns also appeared on other objects, including myself, where they took on a green-and-brown tint and climbed over my skin
Geometric illusions: Fractals and other mathematical patterns were embedded in the carpet in a similar manner as the icon-patterns
}
Closed Eye Visual effects{
Checkered sheets: Dozens of triangular sheets sprang forth, each with one vertex at the center of my visual field, consistently checkered with a surreal pink and green pattern. The other two vertices moved about at random in all three dimensions
Mathematical: There were many other fascinating scenes. Each one was mathematical/geometric and colorful in nature
Unlocked: An interesting note is that in each closed-eye scene, the visuals were just as complex along my entire visual field, and I could look in detail at any point of my visual field (by which I do NOT mean I moved my eyes to see another part of the hallucination--moving my eyes changed nothing--rather it means my visual field was like a computer screen and I could examine any part of it), instead of having my point of focus "locked" to the center of the "screen" like normal.
}
Sum{
1.2g was a bit too high of a dose. With my previous lower dose of 0.7g, I was kept stimulated through the whole experience--I didn't "run out of steam"--and I didn't have a chaotic period where my mind felt too disjointed. Next time I will try an in-between dose of ~0.9
If anyone can tell me what species that is (link to pic at the top) I'd appreciate it
