2g Shrooms-first time-thinking, laughing, and enjoying the visuals
This was written about a year ago from today, and I didn't share it with many so I will post it here. It was quite a special nite, being my first shroom trip:
Last night I finally got to eat them, I had them for a few days waiting to go with friends. I have prior experience with many psychoactives, including acid and 5-dmt. I had an 8th of powerful mushies. I took a little more than half an 8th (about 2g) at 2am. They tasted bad, like dust or something dirty. My 3 friends took almost a full 8th. I had with me 3 .5mg xanax just in case it was too intense.
I had a nervous feeling because I didn't know what this was going to be like. It started to kick in at 2:20 with a stimulating, feel good body buzz. It reminded me of acid and 5-dmt but milder. It kept builing in intensity. I started to have nice visuals, the wood grain wall was bending and I was seeing faces. We were having a great time, laughing, and then we smoke some bud. It added on to the rising feeling. I started to get nervous and it felt a little too intense. Pot does this to me sometimes with other substances. I decided it would be best to take some xanax cause i was twitching and I felt very edgy.(i still shouldn't have taken it but it didnt do much)
I remember specifically when the first effects started to get strong, I felt like the room was one of those 'cars' on a ride at the fair, the ones that spin around in a circle. We all kinda stopped talking for a while and it was incredible. I could stop my thoughts so easy and when I did, everything in the room looked more alien and trippy. There was this old chest made of iron that really caught my attention. My friend whos house we were at said that it was hundreds of years old. It amazed me. It had a different texture, or feel to it than everything else in the room. There was a few holes in it, for decoration I guess, and they looked like eyes looking at me.
I started to think about how weird and special life is. The stimulating buzz was great. There was a "staticy" feel to it, just like the other tryptamines I have done. I think around 3:30 was my peak. I was dissociated from the environment in a very trippy way. It was funny to watch my one friend, who had eaten an entire 8th by now. He was laughing and saying things that were hilarious. We smoked very nice bud occasionally. I felt great.
There was one 5 minute period after I took some big hits off the bowl where I got a sick feeling and felt like i was going to panic. I layed down in my chair and waited for it to pass. My thoughts amazed me. My visuals were nice and floaty, and I could see things on the wood wall, I saw a monkey, a huge face that everyone else saw too and it kinda freaked out the only girl that was there. We all thought it was funny though. The night dragged on. Time was going amazingly slow. When it got to about 4:30 things were calming down a bit. At that point it felt like time had flyed this night. I was lost in my imagination, occasionally engaging in conversation with my tripmates.
At about 6am I was down a good bit from when I started. I felt my normal thought process slowly returning, which was kind of disapointing. At 6:30, we go outside. There is more fog than I have seen in years. It was so dense. It was beautiful. It is starting to get light out. My one friend had work at 12, so we decide its time to get home. I get in my car and start driving, very slow and carefully. I get home and go to my room. Everything still has a trippy glow to it. My body and mind was exhausted but I know I wouldnt be able to sleep. I felt very drained. I take the other xanax and probly fall asleep at 730.
This experience made me love mushrooms. I thank you for taking the time to read this, I enjoyed sharing this experience, even if it might be hard to get the feel for my story. I remember having some amazing ideas and thoughts at the peak, but I sadly cant remember what they were. Next time I will bring a tape recorder. I was in no condition to write . Ah, the outside looks so beautiful now but I am exhausted with no energy. Well this is to be expected after a great little trip like i had.
