editor, hard boiling of mushroom matter is discouraged due to degradation. but half that brew might have 3g of mushroom in it.
tea is just like any extraction, and benefits from multiple washes with fresh solvent. so first of all, don't brew it until you are ready to consume it because dried mushroom is the best for storage.
boil some distilled water on the stove, crush your dried mush in a mug, and pour the hot water over them. add lemon and honey to taste, and drink (carefully) after 3-5 minutes. do not ingest the mush at the bottom. add another volume of hot water to the mush and repeat. the first cup will have about 50-70% of all the goodies, the second cup about 20-30%, and the third cup will get that last 5% or so. if you follow this extraction regime, there is no need to ingest the mush, just throw it in the compost bin.
