Mum tells how clubber ’high on cannibal’ tried to bite her finger off

I love The Sun's attention to specific details, like which chemical it is. Imagine if a dealer offered you 'cannibal'. What would they say, if you asked why it was called that? 'It makes you bite people'? I like how it sounds similar to cannabinol, just to further frighten uneducated people. To be fair, if you're buying The Sun, you probably don't even understand how to turn the pages, let alone read it. It's like the Daily Mail's retarded, toddler sibling. If people stopped buying papers, they'd stop printing them (or just do free versions, like The Metro, which is Daily Mail owned). I don't understand how people buy rags like that, and believe they're reading facts.

The other day, The Guardian had an informative article about how safe ecstasy is, whilst The Sun just makes up shit like this. Whatever sells papers, I suppose...

Yeah, exactly. All classic signs of the munchies; insanely violent behaviour, with the possibility of cannibalism. ;)

Anyone that tries to eat another human being, after taking drugs, is already very mentally ill.

I find that judgrmental n unfair. Just becsuse a person reads "The Sun," doesn't necessarily make stupid how you're post implies "they probably don't how to turn the pages..," it's possible that some people want some light reading in their spare aftet working long hours. I've family members who read "The Sun," as well another papers such as "The Mail." People are clearly that everything they read is factual so doesn't nevessarily imply a lack of education.

When a person reads a non-fiction novel they're, most often aware that what they're reading is made up, yet they often purchase these books n speak time reading the book. They di this for pleasure in their spare time would you regard as "uneducatd?"

This type of judgemental attitude whee we make judgements n assumption on other people for the activities they choose to participate is EXACTLY we have to endure for choosinf to consume drugs. What's the general stereotype of a drug user ("druggie")? An unhappy n uneducated person wo'd rob you so much as look ar you n the lowest commin deoninator. Would you class yurself like that? Would you class many otbers, whom participate on this forum as fitting this stereotypical view of a drug-taker. I'm assuming you're answe is no since there are member educated, happy n trustworthy people on this forum, yet also choose to partipate in taking drugs, while yes, there are those that fit or overlap with some of Joe Pubic's stereotypical views.

Not trying ti have a go at you but I'm honestly shocked at your post because you don't strike me as someome who makes judgements on others like that especially when we, ourselves, have to put up with similar. I can understand that you feel frustrated with the people whom write these untruths because yes they do affect people's viewpoints - unfortunately that's life n not a lot we can do about it but the writers are the ones to feel any frustration towards not the people who choose the read this this stuff in leisure when they want to unwide.

I could also go out to argue what is "educated" because stereotypical views would be someone with a degree yet tbere a many different forms of educatin, as I believe there are to be intellgence. A fabicatec welder needs to be highly educated within their field n often earns good money when they're employed, yet they may lack knowledge when asked about literature of the study of cognition, for instance. This mat may decide to read "The Sun?"during leisure.as it helps them with downtime / relaxation. It irks me reading things such as what you posted n I see similar views oftem, in EADD, while we are battling against those same types of judgements, stereotypical views n false assumptions on s daily basic for choosing to take drugs.

I've just bought a copy of the sun for the first time in ages (fancied some light reading with possibility of tits). Anyway, forgot to take a bag with me and as I'm too tight to pay for one, I ended up walking back trying to juggle with a tabloid stuffed to the hilt with other crap, a bottle of vodka, an open can of energy drink and a lit ciggie. Needless to say, the paper went first - right into a mucky puddle, closely followed by the bottle of vodka as I bent down to pick up the paper. The bottle didn't break so I decided to cut my losses and leave the gutter press literally in the gutter. Still, its probably a little cleaner now than it was...

Lengthy rant
Comparing the likes of The Sun and the Daily Mail to novels is pretty ridiculous, isn't it? People don't buy newspapers because they fancy reading an entertaining story, which they know is FICTIONAL (which means made up). Perhaps you know people who do this, but I find that pretty bizarre. You don't find newspapers in libraries, next to the Harry Potter books. Newspapers are supposed to contain factual articles, about events from around the globe, which people read to gain knowledge. The Sun is not a book, nor do all its readers know that the articles are full of inaccuracies. Some people will read the article in question, and believe/spread what they've read, won't they? It's articles like this that give drug users a bad name, because a lot of uneducated people will take it as gospel. If you found what I said judgemental and unfair, that's entirely your issue. Judgemental; perhaps, unfair; no.

Agreed. It worries me that people who read this rag believe the utter tripe that is printed in it, I feel the same about the Daily Mail. I have close family members that read the Mail (we have complete opposite political beliefs) and I'm constantly telling them what a piece of shit that 'newspaper' is, at least The Sun is kind of regarded as a joke (plus there are tits in it) therefore in my mind it is less dangerous than something like the Mail. The Daily Mail tries to come across as a 'quality newspaper' (snigger), but in fact it is cesspit of bile, hatred and right wing propaganda, it spews out lies and fuels irrational fear in the public - I despise it.
