MTV 2 vs. MTV

Yup MTV shows are shit. Except for Top Buzzer, that's rather decent or what it is, though ive only seen bits of it. I mean, what's all this dating programmes crap where they compete with each other over a guy or a girl? And then theres boiling points, utter shite! Yes, so people will get angry, and? What? Do i really care?It amazes me how many programmes they can create cheap rip offs of aswell.

I loved it when they (Both) used to play chart toppers from the whole past months/year. Nowadays when they occasionally decide to put music on they just play top 10 over and over and over and over and over and over again. 8(

Up in Canada we have much music. It used to be good, about 10 years ago, then some executive decided to mold it in the image of MTV in the states. Now it's polluted with crappy shows, about crappy bands, when all I want to see are some good videos. Who even watches the crappy shows on there any way?

I remember watching Much Music when I was growing up...I lived in Rochester and visited Toronto fairly often. I always thought it was far superior to MTV. Sorry to hear they decided to follow them on the way down. :\

Yeah, I think much music was at it's prime in the mid 90's. Spotlight used to be about good bands with a few albums under their belt. Now the artists they showcase barely have enough videos to fill half an hour. Oh well, I guess being 23 I'm not really their target demographic anymore.

George Stroumbolopolous (sp?) was the only redeeming VJ in the last 5 years, and now he's gone. Bradford's from my City so he gets respect for that, but I always found him a little too goofy.

If only I had a music chanel of my own that catered exactly to my needs.

where do all the music videos that get made go? I havent seen any videos on VH1, i dont think they even play them anymore, MTV rarely plays them, and MTV2 is starting to give them less time too. Unless they get airtime on one of these stations, which doesnt seem very likely considering how little they actually broadcast any videos, what happens to them?
