MSContin 100mg questions

Okay, so I have obtained an MSContin 100mg Grey.

I am sure plenty of you are familar with these, and I know IV is the best method obviously but I don't shoot, and I am trying to get off opiates.
Friday was my last dose of Oxycodone, 160mg. Yesterday I snorted 12mg of HydromorphContin to take the edge off my w/ds, and I was shocked at how well they worked. Hydromorphone does have a good intranasal B/A. I think its about 50%.

Anyway, what about Morphine intranasal? I know plugging is the next best B/A for Morphine next to IV. But has anyone had success from snorting morphine? I mean would I get better results snorting this than eating it?

Yes, snorting would be stronger than oral, but if you are trying to get off opiates you should take the pill orally without crushing, this should be enough to stop or at least take the edge off withdrawals. The first time I detoxed off Oxycodone, 80mg a day, I started taking the OC 80's normally, then went down to 40, then 20, and then I got 30mg roxis and made an oral solution so I could accuratly take smaller and smaller doses, so I would take just enough to make the withdrawal endurable until I was off. This turned out no to work and I relapsed and ebentually got clean with suboxone and now I'm on the naltrexone implant, bvery helpful.

But yeah if your serious about getting clean take the pill normally as this will provide the longest relieft of WD, but remember that detoxing with full agonist is highly unsucessful so try to get some Suboxone.

If you are looking to get the best high without injecting, its worth to time and embarassment ot plug it, crush it up and mix with water and shoot up your butt with a oral syringe.

I have detoxed before off a 600mg/day Oxycodone habit, but that was in a rehab and they gave me Suboxone, and I was on Suboxone for about 6 months or so until I got cut off it for abusing benzo's on the sideline.

Anyways, Suboxone is not an option for me since I am in Canada, and there are only two doctors in my City that are able to prescribe Suboxone. The waiting lists are out the ass with it, and its basically just a pain.

I have also been trying to just get some clonidine and like a week's supply of Valium, but doctors in my City are just so damn strict and don't know much about Addiction period. Everytime I ask about Clonidine they have just said to me "I am not sure how to use it with Opiate withdrawals." Or just basically ignored me.

All I have is Pregabalin (Lyrica), Trazodone, and my Effexor.

Just every thread relating to morphine bioavailability on BL. Personally I don't notice much difference one way or the other.

On a related note, does anyone know why nasal wouldn't have the same bioavailabilty as plugging? I mean either way it's gonna be absorbed through a membrane into the small blood vessels, right? But that it's stronger plugged is very noticable.

Check out wiki, I believe it provides the info regarding the BA of intranasal & oral.

Lyrica helps with opiate withdrawals in high enough doses (300-600mg is a good range). Trazodone can help with sleep.

If not (I forgot if it does actually provide it) than just look around via Google and you'll run across sites that provide the info that you want. Or just look around BL and every thread regarding Morphine BA will explain that the BA of snorting is lower than taking orally.
