Bluelighter
Howling winds blew through the occidental mountains
Whose peaks were once breath-taking in their beauty
Now, eroded gravel is all that is left to tell of its greatness.
Wanderers will set foot amongst these peaks,
Never to return to the incommensurate fields in which they kept their homes
They felt no curiosity only an urge to conquer and dominate.
“Why climb that cliff, don’t you understand that the summit can never be reached?”
Where others have failed, I will succeed: they respond –
And where others have succeeded I will demonstrate their failures: they respond –
Little do they know of the atrocities they will face, even less will they understand.
“At the top of the summit . . . this!”
and
“At the top of the summit . . . that!”
“and when I find it you will know I am right.”
This is their mythical journey, and along their path Lilacs will be brushed aside and
Still more will be crushed with their foes left far behind, unknowing, unseeing and ~ unspeaking to inhabit the shadows
So let us make our way!
Sisyphus will be our guide! And Tantalus will accompany us to tell us why!
To the end of the line!
To the top of the mountain!
(steer clear of the shadows or you will get lost!)
Take a big gulp here, in the incommensurable fields below, because those rocks are very very dry . . .
