Most physically-changing drug.

Hey guys..

I was wondering..

Which drug really changes one's physical (as in LOOKS) features?

For example, I've seen what meth can do do people (the skeleton-face woman).

So what could it be? Which drug really makes you ugly? Heroin? Meth? or..?

it all depends on the amounts/frequency of use. any drug can change your appearance if you overuse it. I know for sure that special k, when overused caused me to get really skinny and pale...

generally though stimulants are the hardest on the facial features. they cause the most long term damage.
 
The singular or infrequent use of any drug is probably negligible. I gained weight on opiates.
 
When I was shooting dope and smoking crack everyday I dropped down to 120 lbs for awhile and I'm 6"2. I looked like some kind of zombie , I was pale and sickly looking. This all went away once I got healthy again though. I'm back up to 175 lbs now and I'm feeling great again.

The worst changes Ive seen in people personally have been caused by crack. When somebody's smoking rock's all day years on end and not eating properly it destroys their body. I'm sure if Methamphetamine was more popular around here I would have said that.
 
gotta agree with you, Cosmic Charlie. there's not much meth in n.fla but crackheads are easy to spot due to the physical deterioration. never did any crack, have only observed what it does to others.
seems like opiates make people gain weight but when I was doing heroin, I got super skinny, my eyes looked awful, and I started to look like a walking skeleton. not sure how much was the dope and how much was due to the lifestyle but it sure as hell wasn't attractive.

i recently went to the doctor and i swear the crystal meth gal was my nurse! (she wasn't but jeez they looked alike)

when i was doing meth i became very very stick like (which to a degree i guess i still am) and i looked like how cosmic charlie explained himself, a zombie.
 
^ that lady in the pic died in 1987 (at the age of 39).
the last mugshot of her was in 1987, she died in near the end of that year.
I read about her a while back, i believe she was from Nevada.
though one other source said she was a prostitute from toronto, ontario, canada.

the location might be off, but her age, death, and mugshot are very real (and disturbing).

but man reading about her, it's really sobering.
She was one of those who got into the meth scene early on in the 80's...her death was absolutely disturbing to say the least. She couldn't keep food down in jail, so she was put under medical supervision where she died of serious complications resulting from chronic meth use. she weighed 65 pounds at the time of her death.

39 years old...but she looked well into the late 90's.

it's not just what the drug does, but it's the whole freakin culture that surrounds it.

the porn, the perversion, the violence, abuse, the pathological lying, the insomnia, the paranoia, suspicion of everyone (even those that love u), and everything else that comes with meth and it's perverted ways.

seriously, reading about that lady and so many like her just turned me soo off the drug. i mean god damn, can u imagine what the lady went through in the 10-12 years she was using meth. the rape she faced, the prostitution! fuck, she don't even look human and her death was totally devoid of any human dignity. it totally robbed her soul. fuck meth man! :(
 
Well you have to remember those 'faces of meth' are generally homeless people who did not clean their teeth or even shower. But I'd have to say meth. Not just the thinness, but it physically changes your face. Over the yrs my jaw has completely changed shape. I am no supermodel but you may not even guess I've been a meth addict for seven years now, because I am a hygiene freak and I eat.
 
I'm going to go with meth too, not to hop on the band wagon here, but because I've done meth, I know that it makes you utterly unable to eat a thing for days and days at a time when enough is used. I'm in no way over weight, but damn I love my food, and theres no way I'm going to give that up. Not to mention I've seen friends turn into skinny mofo's from meth, and yes you can tell with their facial features, in fact a friend and I were talking about how we can always spot what drugs someone does without even knowing them one bit earlier this morning. I don't know meth just tends to lead to bad hygiene, not brushing your teeth etc, really bad habits you can't afford at all. Not that there aren't exceptions to this, but for the most part it's true.

Yep im with meth.

Though what caused me to lose a good 15-20kg was oxycontin and other opiates(heroin and morphine rarely) I was injecting or sniffing up to 400mg a day(200mg 2x a day) building up to that dose over a year and a bit, I looked like a junky and it wasnt just the skinnyness but the pale and unhealthy look I got, my skin went to shit, you could see my ribs for the first time in my life and my cheek bones stuck out(though nowhere near as bad as anyone on the faces of meth thing) The reason I got so sick was coz I could never eat on oxy and if I did id just throw up, I could usually eat on meth, it wa just coz meth makes you not want to eat, opes make it impossible for me to keep food down even if im really hungry, I often resorted to protein shakes which still came straight back up the majority of times.

I used to do a lot of IV/smoking meth too and I never looked as bad as I did in my peak of opiate use(only about 2 1/2 months ago) though I was using opiates every day, I only used meth maybe 3 days a week max.
 
Meth and heroin for me. Coke hasn't had a huge effect on me physically, and I guess if I was a regular weed smoker I'd be bigger but I'm not for that reason.

Meth- lose a lot of weight, but I feel prettier on it.

Heroin- lose a lot of weight, but I feel uglier on it-- skin turns grey.
