I would say that methylone is ther closest in its effects to mdma followed closely by 5-mapb as for Mda I'd say 6-apb then 6-apdb.
5-apb I found very weak...

Others worthwhile mdma'esques?

I think bk-MDMA, 4-MMC, MDPV, a-PVP, and 6-APB, ime have similar effect profiles to MDMA and MDA. Some areas lack where others are pretty on-point.

I think if you're asking the question if it is worthwhile to substitute then it is completely subjective. If you are up for new experiences then I would certainly say it shouldn't be out of the question to indulge. Just be safe about dosing.

Nothing quite touches the profoundness of MDMA tho'. Can't quite duplicate that feeling.
