*NOT* interested in injection. Track marks are just not cricket, plus they make you an identifiable drug user.
I wasnt trying to give the impression that i am promoting IV drug use. I did recognize that it is undeniably the best way to administer heroin. I didnt mean to construe that the person was a "wimp" because they didnt want to IV, but it sort of came out that way. The person said that they didnt want to IV stuff because they didnt want people to see track marks on his arms, which didnt seem like a honest reason why they didnt want to shoot up. I would imagine that the person simply doesnt want to IV out of fear (which is very understandable), concern for his health, perhaps fear of the needle itself or blood, or becoming a junky. If he said,"im afraid of needles, and i dont want to damage my body or become a raging addict", this would be more truthfull.
I described a way to inject in the ankle as way to say that track marks are not the reason that people dont want to shoot up, and if this is the only thing holding them back, it would be pretty unbelievable. Im sorry if i came off as a vehement proponent of injecting, i was just trying to make it clear that track marks are not a main reason why someone would not inject. For most people, i do not sugggest injecting, but if someone knows how to shoot safely (which an emphasis on cleanliness and filtration) and they have heroin, injecting would be a much more efficient and pleasurable way of administering the drug when compared to smoking.
So, if you choose to inject, or choose not to (a wise move), you make the decision out of your own volition, and I simply think track marks are one of the least concerns that should affect your choice. I completely respect those who choose not to IV. Sometimes I wish I never picked up a needle, but i cant deny the fact that it can be a key to temporary happiness, or a at least a convincing illusion of happiness.
