Opioids Morphine while on Suboxone

If I have only dosed .5mg buprenorphine today, can I still get high on morphine?

I wqas under the impression that at ~0.5mg doses, buprenorphine metabolizes into norbuprenorphine, and something about it being a straight-up agonist at that low of a dose.

Either way, I wanted to know if it would be a waste to take morphine after dosing 0.5mg bupe. Thanks in advance.

I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to use, assuming a good 12 hour interval between the two.

No, I took the 0.5mg bupe 4 hours ago.

I am taking the opiates/opioids legit for pain. I honestly need pain relief from an injury.

suboxone and opiates too close together = usually not a good plan.

I think that the dose is small enough for you to be able to 'break through'. However, most of the 'break through' discussion usually occurs in the context of people who are trying specifically go get high when on bupe - so they are shooting/railing massive doses of potent opiates. You say you're on pain management and are presumably then just using therapeutic doses, which may not be enough to get through the bupe. I say wait as long as you can, ideally 12 hrs.
