Morphine. 50mil bottle help

Hey guys, I was wanting to know if its safe to IV morphine I've come across.

My good friend had an accident, breaking his back. He was given 50mil 1mg/1ml liquid Morphine HCI to take orally. He has giving me the bottle as he no longer needs it.
I'm wanting to IV it, but unsure if its safe. the liquid looks and acts like water, its not a syrup I don't think. it didn't not come in a vile but a 50mil plastic bottle. There is no list of potential ingredient, Just lists Morphine HCI.

I've IV morphine before, only 10mg Capsules. So only to 2mil should be the correct dose for IV to be safe?

Ive never done Morphine but wanna try it some day & I see you have the good stuff, oral liquid, thats what I wanna try & as far as iving it, someone else will need to help you with that, sorry for not helping.

for that concentration, the australian medicines handbook state:
BUT what else is in it? if it's sugar and all sorts of additives you might want to go oral, i have no idea about shooting oral solutions. but here's the figures for IV solutions. they could be nasty

Acute pain: adult, child >50 kg

The following are approximate dose ranges for opioid-naive patients.
IV

Initially, 0.5–2 mg; repeat every 3–5 minutes and titrate as above. This interval may not represent the true time to peak effect (which may be up to 15 minutes). Use the lower dose in patients >70 years of age.

(So at 1mg/ml although our ones here are 5mg /ml, so that's 1/2 ml, 50 units or a 500uL for you to start. try it and then titrate up safely. always do SAFE first, you can go up as much as you like afterwards but only narcan will bring you back from near death after being greedy for a hit)

hope it helps. make sure that you quoted the concentration correctly, you don't want to be out by 10 fold.

hey here is the ingredients of ORDINE a morphine oral solution and it says specifically do not take other than oral
Active ingredient:
One mL of solution contains the
following:
• 1 mg morphine hydrochloride in
the 1 mg/mL solution
• 2 mg morphine hydrochloride in
the 2 mg/mL solution
• 5 mg morphine hydrochloride in
the 5 mg/mL solution
• 10 mg morphine hydrochloride in
the 10 mg/mL solution.
Inactive ingredients:
• anhydrous citric acid
• sodium citrate
• glycerol
• disodium edetate
• sodium methyl hydroxybenzoate
(preservative)
• water.
ORDINE® oral solution does not
contain sugar, alcohol, gluten,
lactose, tartrazine or azo dyes.

There's no brand name, its come from a pharmacy, placed in a brown hdpe bottle.
It says Morphine HCL 1MG/1ML (DW)
Take five ml every four hours for pain.

unfortunately there is no other information on the bottle.

Might just do it in rectally to be safe. .

do it rectally. They purposely spike shit like that with stuff so you cant IV all the time. Rectal morphine is pretty dam good and as close as you get without injecting.

If your going to inject the medication,I would take half the dose you know you can handle from previous experiences,because the MS04 doesnt need to break down in your stomach etc if your doing IV,watch for CNS depression epecially your respirations,how your breathing etc.also inject the medication slowly,stay safe

yeah man just stick it up your butt lol. ive done morphine that way but with pills and it was much better than taking them orally. and insufflating wasnt an option.
