Opioids Morphine 30mg IM and Morphine 30mg inj?

Okay I get these morphine pills the other day. I've never seen them so I look up on the internet to make sure they are legit, like I always do so I don't end up doing heart pills or something equally stupid. Anyways, I look up on the internet, and it says I have "morphine 30mg IM" and that the other pill is "morphine 30mg inj".

So here's my question....what does the IM stand for? What does the inj stand for? I mean I would think inj would stand for "injection" but then again I'm pretty sure they don't make pills just for people to break down and inject. Maybe this is a stupid question.....but either way, I'm still curious to know what the abbreviations stand for. Thanks to all that reply with non-smart ass answers.

This is what the pills look like

This medicine is a purple, round tablet imprinted with "M" and "30".
Generic Name: Morphine
Strength: 30 mg

if you do choose to IM pills, atleast use a micron filter. And even then theres no guarantee that you wont be doing damage. You could still very easily develope an abscess. but using a micron filter should make the probability of that less likely.
 
I've never IM'd a pill. That is not what I was talking about. What I meant was when I went to the web md website and used their pill identifier, when I typed in the imprint on the white pills it came up as "30mg Morphine IM" that was the actual name of it from the company and I wasn't sure what the "IM" meant. I mean I know it usually means intramuscular but I didn't think that a company would name their product Morphine intramuscular. I mean that's a little crazy. And the other one actually came up as 30mg Morphine Inj. I don't know. If you go to the website and type in 30 for the imprint, then purple for the color and round as the shape it actually identifies the pill as 30mg morphine Inj. Anyways, I guess I was just wondering if anyone knew why the company had named it that and what exactly they meant by it. Guess no one knows.
 
Pill ids arent allowed but the purple M30 is extended release morphine sulphate (MScontin generic) and the bottom white pill is 30mg instant release morphine sulphate.

I'm sure the site you looked it up on made a mistake or it probably was a label for a different formulation of morphine sulphate.
 
I wasn't asking for a pill id. I already know what the pills are. The website I went to is legit. It was WEB MD. But anyways....I guess there is no answer to my question. Both the pills came up as a crazy name. One of them was called 30mg morphine IM and the other was called 30mg morphine Inj. I don't think the site would of messed up on both of them. The abbreviations have to mean something. They wouldn't just put it behind it for the hell of it. But anyways, I guess their is no answer to the question or I will just have to contact the company myself. Just super curious to find out why they would name their product such a name....?

It sounds like a mistake or maybe you read the site wrong or something.

IM stands for intramuscular.

Inj stands for use by injection.

The purple one with the 30 and M is a 30mg morphine sulfate extended release tablet, I know because im perscribed them.:) The other is 30mg morphine sulfate instant release. As for why they put IM and inj...?? must be a type error.
