I bought a handheld vaporiser which you apparently heat up with a lighter etc. Anyhow, my question is regarding the smell, could it be used inside without detection?
I cannot try any of this for myself because I'm on a one month self imposed (DAMMIT) drug break.

No it will leave a very distincive smell. Not like the normal smell of ganja but still pretty noticable that something was burning.
