Opioids more bupe/done questions,opinions needed...

Hey so on thursday evening I took 2mgs of bupe. Friday evening I took 65mg of methadone and (as I thought) didn't get that high (bupes blocking effect)...

Do you think I will feel more effects of the methadone this time if I take it on saturday evening? Or do you think it won't make a difference?Will the fact I just ate done friday make it less enjoyable?

I know these are hard questions too answer because it varies so much person to person. I am just asking for similar experiences or opinions about this.

i honestly don't think that it was blocking the methadone.

you have to be more specific though. have you been taking 2 mg of bupe for a long time (over two weeks)? If so then maybe it would have a blockade effect, but 2 mg of bupe, SL at least, has never blocked anything stronger than hydrocodone for me.

Some people also don't get very euphoric effects from methadone, or need really high dosages to achieve that typical bliss like state. With no dope habit or tolerance, I remember still not feeling as sattisfied as I would have liked taking 90 mg of methadone.

Regardless, you can try again on saturday evening, but You'll probably feel about the same effects. The best thing to do would be to wait until sunday evening, when most of the methadone is out of your system, to dose again. Then you will surely feel more of an effect. But as I said before, methadone is usually not the most popular opioid for recreational use, but different strokes for different folks.

Also you probably know this, but if you continue this methadone use and then decide to go back to suboxone, I would be highly cautious and wait as long as you can before dosing. switching from methadone to bupe can get real messy if done too soon, due to the long half life.

Cant say I have ever been high on methadone even when I was on a 100ml/mg script. I'd imagine if you did not have a opiate habbit and or tolerence then it might get you high. If I take 2mg of Subutex early in the day I can use the next day and get pretty much full effect from opiates.

yeah, I can get full effects 24 hours after using 8 mg usually, but I think thats because I've switched back and fourth so many times.

for instance, yesterday I took 24 mg of the suboxone film, and then bought a bundle six hours later and felt a three bag shot. I didn't get full effects but I felt it. four hours later from that, I did another three bag shot, felt ALMOST full effects, then this morning did it, and was nodding out all over the place.

that's why i think it has more to do with the full agonist you chose, more than the fact that you used bupe the day before. It's not that methadone isn't strong (it's stronger mg for mg than heroin) It's just that it doesn't produce as euphoric effects.
