More adolescents using steroids

C'mon, let's be reasonable here.
I am not against steroid use at all, but to say that steroids are safer than weed is pretty ridiculous.

Anabolic steroids may exert profound adverse effects on the liver, male and female reproductive systems, the cardiovascular system, the immune system, and may lead to hypertension, gynecomastia (males growing boobs), glucose tolerance/ insulin resistance, bad cholesterol levels, acne, hair loss, aggression, pathological anxiety, paranoia, and hallucinations. Withdrawal symptoms include aggressive and violent behavior, mental depression with suicidal behavior, mood changes, and in some cases acute psychosis.

They can cause penile and testicular shrinkage, too. :|

It is not even remotely comparable to weed. While weed is also not perfectly "safe" - no drug is perfectly safe - it has far fewer risks typically associated with it.

Slim/everyone, my apologies if the original post and its wording was unclear (i will explain here instead of editing the original). I wasn't trying to assert that testosterone's primary physical effects were safer than marijuana's primaries, i was referring to the "overall", and in the context of my personal real-world observations.
of anyone i've ever seen use steroids, there's been a 0% problem rate, and a 0% dissatisfaction rate. Further, these people did not "move on" to more dangerous compounds. I cannot say the same for those i know who get high. I've seen pot(and probably any psychoactive that could be found in a city) be used in destructive manners; I haven't seen that with gear. That is what i tried/failed to get across lol.
[Clearly this is a function of marijuana's psychoactivity, and not its immediate/primary physical effects (unless a car crash or some other immediate anomaly were attributed to it)]

Used 100.0% responsibly, i believe marijuana to be safer; but the fact that pot(and all psychoactives) lend themselves to abuse more than steroids is the rationale behind my original post. The truth remains that one of these products is for recreational usage, the other is for fitness/strength/etc usage. I see both as safe, but the very nature of a 'recreational' product compared to a 'constructive' product is what i was driving at.

Let's be real- if you're not a moron when it comes to administration (no blazing before court; no starting gear w/o PCT on-hand; etc) these substances' risk:reward profiles absolutely work for all but the most cautious consumers. All things considered, a smart, safe product for fitness goals is "healthier", better, and safer than a comparably safe product whose purpose is to get high. IMO.

I've been up allll night, an injury has my sleep sched *fuct* right now, so apologies for being unclear before. Test=good. Pot=good. Fitness choices > recreational/psychoactive choices. Hope this made sense!
/not that they're mutually exclusive or cannot be used simultaneously tho!

NOTE: I have a tendency to interchange "steroids" with "testosterone". I do NOT feel the same about all steroids, and anything i've said in this thread regards testosterone, not any/all "steroids".
NOTE2: the liver ills that ppl talk about with steroids are almost universally in reference to 17aa oral steroids - NOT to proper injectable testosterone. My position is only in regards to intramuscularly-injected testosterone, whcih is the most common bodybuilder/fitness preparation of steroids :)
