Why is it when ever i test molly it always goes black? I tested like 4 different samples with the marquis reagent this summer and they all went black...

First one flashed orange... then black/gray(meth)
Second one flashed yellow... then went black/gray(bath slats)
Third one flashed yellow... then went black/gray(bath slats)

The fourth one is a little interesting and i was wondering if some one can shed some incite one this:
Went very black, bubbled, let out a small puff of smoke. some purple undertones noticeable (large sample)
Went black, bubbled, no smoke, no purple evident, smeared gray (very small sample)
Went black and bubbled, some smoke, purple very obvious within seconds(small sample)

bizarre, i got 2 shit results and then one that looked like an A+ result.
Any way this is starting to turn into more than one question... sorry BL I'm kinda drunk

EDIT: the first three were consumed and did fit the profile. Fourth one I have not and am waiting to hear what other people say

You should go by the most immediate color change. The reagent reacts very quickly with the main compounds it tests for, but it may have slower reactions with things in the air, on your testing surface, or random adulterants that are not part of the panel. So, the immediate color change is the one you can trust. It looks like your first 3 tests reflect this, and it also sounds like your 4th test is good MDMA based on this.

yea #4 turned out to be very nice! Thank you for explaining the whole "flash" element of testing compounds. I never really understood but your explanation makes a lot of sense.
