hi a while ago there was a post that said you needed a faq for this section, i replied and said i would be interested in doing it, although i then became very busy, i have the day off today and have already started going back on copy and pasting the questions which seem to crop up all the time, does this still need to be done?

Good idea but and maybe it is also a good idea to have an independent person or third party evaluate all the testkits currently available.
This person or entity could figure out all the pro's and cons of all testkits and make results available.
Clubbed.com was going to do something like this and we mailed our testkit but we never heard back....

good idea aj, sorry to hear the clubbed.com thing didnt happen. the australian government is putting together a policy paper on testing (which noth enlighten and chem gen have submitted stuff to). maybe i could suggest they do something like this?

yeah i agree that the test kits could be looked at and compared in certain areas that would give people a better idea of what they are getting, although i wouldnt want any company to have to stop selling because one company monopolised the market

My sample bubbled and emitted a waft of smoke when I put the drop of the tester on it! Do I have Something + DXM?
<Whilst this may be the case it is very unlikely. DXM + MDMA is commonly known not to cause such side effects as death, and making a pill that causes death is a Bad Business Decision.
Bubbling and smoke (gas) will occur with any reasonably strong sample of a substance. The intensity of the reaction is proportional to the purity of the sample, MDMA crystal has been known to boil fiercly around a plate after a drop of test solution has been added for example.
Can my kit detect PMA?
"It detects it by not doing anything" could be one answer.
The marquis reagent does not actively test for PMA. ie it does not change colour. Any pill that tests clear therefore should be avoided due to the increased chance it could contain PMA. (or some other compound)
The E2 tester from Chemical Generation will give a postive result for PMA.
My test result had some green around the edges,
I left my result standing for a while and when I came back it had gone greenish. Do I have 2CB mixed in?
The marquis reagent will react with air over time to turn a slight greenish colour. This is most likely the cause.
How should I store my test kit?
E1/EZ-test/marquisFridge or freezer. Let it warm up to room temperature before performing the test. Put back in fridge or freezer. The E2 tester should not be refigerated but stored away from direct light.
Will it react with Heroin/Strchynine etc
