30mg of a substance labeled MMAI was ingested on an empty stomach. An alert was felt within minutes and very mild MDMA-like empthy and well-being followed within the hour. Achieving an erection was possible but somewhat difficult. Once aroused, orgasm was possible although slightly more difficult than usual. Headspace was clear and comfortable, possibly just a strong anti-depressant effect?
However, at about the 1hr mark, jaw clenching was noticed. This continued to escalate in strength for the next 20-30 mins and started tapering off at around 2 hrs. By 3.5 hrs, the jaw clenching had subsided leaving only a jittery, slightly tweaked hangover. These symptoms concern me. MMAI is supposed to be an SSRA, but I have not gotten the jaw-clench, jitters, and tweaked out hangover from other SSRAs. I have typically associated those symptoms with dopamine, not serotonin, but there are apparently documented cases of people getting these effects (particularly jaw-clenching) after starting SSRIs.
So, what's the deal? Does this description match anyone else's experience with MMAI? The high was almost certainly serotonin related. Can these symptoms derive from serotonin action? Is there also a dopamine action? Or is what I have not actually MMAI?
