mlb 2010

^^ Its that time of year, eh?

well i dont care too much for baseball, ill go n see a game everynow n then cuz it can be fun but i wont watch baseball on tv and dont care enough to check stats/standings in the paper.

saw that the Yankees lost tonight

glad about that. they're definatley one of those teams i just love to hate. (them n the lakers and b4 i moved to Dallas, the cowboys were on that list)

i LOVE baseball, but even i'll admit that the season gets a bit tiresome.

did anyone happen to see the play by mark buehrle though??? fucking incredible. hard grounder hit back up the middle, he kicked it up and to the left with his left foot, then ran to field the ball on the first base line, scooped the ball and flipped it backwards through his legs to get the put out at first base. seriously f'n ridiculous. that'll be on the top plays on ESPN tonight. i'd be DAMNED surprised if it's not the number one play.

^ absolutely. i know it seems a little premature but it's hard to see that play being topped by another 'web gem' all season. it was absolutely incredible.

the opening game between the red sox and yankees was a doozy. glad to see the red sox laying down some offence in a great win.

go sox!

agreed! and i'm sorry to say (as i think i have before) that i do NOT like the red sox... but my dislike for them aside, what a great come back last night. i was glad to see the home team win for the MLB season opener because it really kicked off with a bang. neil diamond singing sweet caroline was awesome and i have to admit, as much as i'd like to NOT be a fan... pedroia is such an awesome ball player. i LOVE watching that dude. he's smart and he's got all the tools.

^^ If only the Sox would win in sept n oct

they always do good against NY in the begining of the season

I am from Tampa so fuck both those teams tho, go Rays

ill root for the Rangers too, i also used to like the Indians as a kid (Ohio family)

i'm an indians fan. born and raised in ohio, an hour south of cleveland. grew up an indians fan as did my dad. i'll live and die with that team. which is why it's so hard to watch them rebuild after such a strong span from the mid 90s to early 2000's. then when we finally get close again (2007) the red sox come back from a 3-1 deficit in the ALCS to win and subsequently win the world series. i'm sure you can understand my strong disliking for red sox nation (no offense alasdair! :D). it was REALLY tough to watch sabathia and lee face off in the world series last year. :(

edit: oh and it isn't the best video, but here was buehrle's play today... tell me this isn't incredible!

I probably love fantasy baseball more than actual baseball

Indians suck every year of late

it's a non-issue. why would i be offended because somebody else dislikes the red sox?

that said, it sounds like it's not the red sox you should be upset with, it's the indians :)

after a decade of disappointment, my reds are finally looking good. we will finish the year with one of the best rotations in the league once chapman is called up. hopefully we can score enough runs to back up the starters.

the rays are lookin damn good this year. i usually dont pay any attention to baseball, but this year figured id give it a try.

yeah they look good now plus they've got 2 big time prospects that will be up by mid season. they could definitely be the team to beat in the AL east.

yesterday was a crazy day for baseball. the mets and cardinals played a 20 inning game. it was scoreless until the mets scored a run in the top of the 19th, then the cardinals scored a run in the bottom of the 19th. the mets ended up winning 2-1 in 20 innings.

also, ubaldo jimenez pitched the first no hitter in the rockies franchise. he walked 5 batters in the first 4 innings before the coach suggested he pitched from the stretch rather than the wind up, after he switched, he was unhitable (i know it's not really a word... but sp?), literally.
