Mixing large amounts of APAP+Ibuprofen?

I am under the impression that it's safe to take APAP and Ibuprofen together. That being said, over here in the UK you can buy [8/500 codeine/APAP] and [12.8/200 codeine/Ibuprofen] OTC. Therefore you could take 6-8 APAP containing pills and 8 Ibuprofen (*see below) containing pills together, maximizing the amount of codeine you get at once without doing a CWE. IS this correct/safe?

(* based on this and another thread in which it was mentioned you could take around 2000-4000mg APAP in a 24 hour period as long as you don't make a habit of it.)

Also, this is probably a really dumb question but... Supposedly, Dihydrocodeine Tartrate is (approx 1.5x) stronger than Codeine Phosphate. I say supposedly because after a little google research there seems to be a lot of conflicting opinions on this. Anyway, do these two mix together the same as if you were just taking Codeine Phosphate? For example, if DHC being 1.5x stronger is true, if I took 20mg of CP and 10mg of DHC would this give the same effect as 35mg of Codeine Posphate?

Cheers :)

2000mg of acetaminophen is the max amount you should take in a single dose. So that is 4 tabs, not 6-8. You *could* do this, but it would be hard on your stomach and actually quite hard on your kidneys as well. It's just not a good idea to do it without an extraction.

Your estimation on the second part is definitely reasonable, it would be similar.

Was going from the second post in this thread:

Thanks for the advice :)

No problem. The acetaminophen (APAP) limit is there mainly to protect the liver, as it is toxic in large amounts. Different people have different thresholds for risk and whatnot, but from the available data 2000mg should be fine unless you have underlying liver disease or are drinking alcohol as well.
