Mixing Codeine and Ativan.

I took 400mg Codeine around an hour ago and I'm feeling a nice buzz, would it be safe to take 2mg Lorazepam?

I would think so, but why? Ativan is my favourite benzo but I don't generally take benzos with codeine as I don't think they always complement each other; the benzos can overpower the codeine, and it sucks to just fall asleep rather than getting the most out of the codeine.

Of course I'm assuming you are not new to either of those substances. I find lorazepam to be occasionally enjoyable with opiates. It's not too 'heady' and compliments them well, in my opinion.

are you kidding, 400mg of codeine alone would make me throw up, without even adding the benzo. you are taking way too much. or wait, are you you and I am me? and maybe you and you alone can determine you ideal dosing?

any dosing question that isn't asking for a good beginner's dose is silly.

I'd stay away from the benzos.. if you feel anxious in any way take .5 it will be all you need to take that edge off.. otherwise there's no need.
