Heroin Missed shot of heroin 1 week ago, now odd looking bruising has appeared

Hi,

I am an IV heroin and crack cocaine/cocaine hydrochloride addict (i.e. "speedball"/"snowball"). Here's a picture of a peculiar injury I sustained.

It is not painful (bar a slight discomfort when pressure is applied, like any bruise), not hotter than the other surrounding areas, there's no lump or any notable swelling, it's not raised, the heroin seems to have dissipated, there's no numbness, no pus, no infected feel... nothing to indicate an abscess at all, bar the appearance!

What would you guys do if it were you? I'm not asking for a diagnosis, but I do want to see how many people would go to the doctors if it was them, taking into account that other than the bruise, it acts like a normal, undamaged section of skin and flesh, like anywhere else on the body.

That's rather large in diameter. I've gotten the yellow bruise when the rig was a little dull, or the traditional 'black and blue' when I hit in more sensitive areas with smaller veins, but they were at their worst by day 3 and got better after that.

I don't know what to tell you though since it doesn't have the traditional signs of being an abscess, other than to monitor it.
