Mint type smell from sugar cubes...??

SWIM has finally, after a long search, found some acid. It's from a trustworthy source who SWIM has bought shrooms and MDMA from before. He always has great quality, potent stuff, and gets a stiffy from purity. So SWIM picked up, the guy dropped from a vial straight to the sugar cubes right in front of SWIM and wrapped them in foil. When SWIM got home, he noticed a scent from the cubes, and it wasn't a chemical or foreign smell, it was minty, almost exactly like spearmint gum. SWIM had friends get ripped off and sold DOx compounds in the recent past and SWIM is just a little pensive. SWIM has never done acid, and SWIM and his three roommates plan on dropping the cubes sunday. SWIM know's acid should be tasteless and odorless, but SWIM cannot find anything along the lines of this type of scent, only bitter taste a chemical like smell has come up on google. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Tghe liquid will evaporate/oxidise fairly quickly you need to put them in an airtight bag in the fridge

I had a similar question the other day, but I know better now. I got 40 hits of L individually dropped onto sweet-tarts. The sweet-tarts where in rows across a sheet of tin-foil, with the tin-foil folding over to block light, all inside of a tubaware container. When I got home and opened the container, I smelled a faint nail-polish-remover smell. Didn't take long to figure out that the L was likely to have been diluted in ethanol or rubbing alcohol (which has that nail polish remover scent) as opposed to distilled water, or oils. In your case, I'd say it's either from a breathsaver vial as suggested ^, or the L was diluted in peppermint oil/extract or peppermint schnapps or something. The reasons for this are ultimately only known by the distributor. Look out for these primary effects which don't fit the DOx chemicals I've tried:

-Very smooth comeup (usually feeling initial effects at about 45 minutes (esque), reaching the peak at about 1h30m
-3 noticeable 'waves' of peak effects.
-Experience shouldn't last much more than 12 hours, if that
-Energetic without defined stimulation
-Very clean experience, with euphoric razmatazz

It's pretty much guaranteed that it's not a chemical problem here though. DOx doesn't smell like mint.

^ Careful with incriminating yourself even further please! Also the Orginal poster please avoid from using swim here :) Many users will frown upon it. Either way i hope sml-la cleared this up for you!

More than frowning upon it, we simply do not allow it. The reason is that using 'SWIM' does not protect you from anything... that is an illusion. How stupid do you think a courtroom is, if you were to find yourself in it after posting incriminating things as 'SWIM' that lead to your bust? Obviously they know that it translates to: I, me.

About the mint smell: mint drops are apparently quite often used as alcoholic solvent for LSD i.e. liquid acid. I have lost track of the ballpark number of times I have heard about that. Of course it is okay to sollicit for thoughts on the matter but just to be clear: we don't allow ID threads and we cannot answer questions along the lines of: "is this acid or is it another compound or bunk?".

Yes DOX compounds have a bitter taste and LSD should be almost or as good as tasteless (but I read that it is a myth that it is completely tasteless). But we will not discuss attempts to determine the identity or legitimacy of your cube. The fact that minty liquid is often used to dissolve LSD is one that you can interpret and use however you wish. But really this is no conclusive information either since it is entirely possible to dissolve other drugs like DOX compounds in a minty liquid.
Though I do want to point out that LSD glows under blacklight while the other possibilities do not - that's the only thing I care to add since this may actually be helpful information to you without constituting any conclusion. And lastly there are test kits available, this is also an option for you.

Discussion in this thread is now suspended, the only reason I am not closing it is because MrMikey has only 1 post and I have the habit of leaving a close-worthy thread open for users who are very new... for them to ask questions about rules and policy and to be pointed in the right direction.

I almost forgot to welcome you, MrMikey even if I started right away about things that are not allowed. :)
So welcome!

And to avoid issues in the future it is wise to read the BLUA / PD rules. The rules can be found via a link in the Psychedelic Index. The Psychedelic Index (link is below in my signature) is our list of big, important and centralized threads - one for every compound and a lot more. Also, highly recommended is to read the Beginner's FAQ, also linked to below. I myself believe that reading this FAQ can save users new to BL and PD a lot of time.

If you have any questions you can ask here, otherwise this thread is scheduled for closure. Also you can always ask questions about the forum by contacting one of the moderators - like me - in a private message. Greenlighters (users with less than 50 posts) are allowed to PM mods.
