First off I ask that you troll/flame only if you have some legitimate feedback feedback offer

No swelling, redness dissipated, but my buddy is reporting soreness, and frequent lightheadedness.
It's been about five hours since he decided to recklessly sate his curiosity and the lesson is: from now on let's not and just say we Did.

Random numbness/pins and needles in hands and head also.
And he did another one in the crook of his left elbow and it bled markedly more than what is usual.
This was without a tie and no recent use on that injection site.
Taking in to consideration he and I usually use a lower gauge than what he had tonight I find this especially strange.

The neck is not a good site. If as you say you still have veins in your arms then use those! The tingling and numbness sounds like you may have scraped a nerve. I doubt there's any permanent harm done.Perhaps the increased bleeding was just because of raised BP from the first shot?

I've always had a morbid curiosity with the notion of an intensified feeling from I.v. sites above the shoulders.
There's sort of a taboo amongst already tabood and I've seen a few people do it, but discourage me from doing it myself.
Kind of felt like maybe a it's not that great bit really it is is and you'll like it and what you don't know won't hurt you type thing but....

It's not.
Just really hard to hit with deadly consequences in the very probable case of an accident and no unusual or profound difference than the more common sites.

But I.v. meth users, always takin it to the max.

In which case I'll take up heroin/a relationship with a kiniving tweaker with no money and and a tattoo on her neck that likes to wander off and return with less clothing and more eyelinerthan she left with...

Huh

Well there's nothing left for me to try, just did a last shot and I think after two years it's finally time to land and enjoy the present

That is of my friends jugular miss doesn't kill him or some crazy shit

I have friends, long time IV users who have collapsed all other veins, that exclusively IV in their neck, but it is a last resort.. and that's if switching to another ROA or stopping all together isn't an option. If you have any veins left.. you shouldn't even consider IV'ing in your neck. The rush feels the exact same as if you did it in your arm.

The neck is very easy to miss and hit an artery instead which is incredibly dangerous in that area and can lead to death, and the risk of damaging crucial veins that feed blood to the brain can lead to severe complications.

Hmm...if it's still 24 hours later and it's warm and hurting I'd be pretty keen on getting it checked out by a doctor.

I know the neck area seems to radiate a fair bit of warmth anyway....but seriously this is really, really, really not somewhere you want to give anything a chance to develop.

Can you get to a doctor or a hospital?

Even if it ends up being nothing serious....it would be worth it for peace of mind.

The shot in the crook that bled a lot may have been an artery shot.

My mainline?

You know... I'm starting to become aware of a whole new dynamic to I.v. use....
Um.... I'll keep it to myself though...

And in the if it's still uncomfortable I've resolved to get it looked at.
God willing they won't run my name :x

So HYPOTHETICALLY an artery despite being Russian roulette are usable.
So HYPOTHETICALLY the shot will travel locally instead of distributed evenly.

So hypothetically my eyes are red and I've been immobile for twelve solid hours because....
Well.... so here's the next level.

God I'm sick I want to sharpen my fangs.

No, arteries carry blood away from the heart so the pressure can cause you to bleed way too much as well as cause pain so should never be used.

Jesus Friend, where have you been. I have been worrying about you so much, and now I can see it was legitimately founded, not the same what some may call "irrational" fear each of us regulars get when a fellow regular disappears.

Please send me a PM bro so I can reach you.

You should go to a free clinic if you can or seriously consider seeking immediate medical attention if things are not improving especially to the point where you made a thread here, I know you pretty well, or so I like to believe... but the Snazzy_SN I know would kinda be the type to wait til the last second to get help, and with the particular injection site that you used being circumstantial, I'm really worried about you man. Please try and see a real doctor, This is one problem out of an infinite amount of things one can justify that shooting more meth cannot "fix"

^^

Yeah, a miss in the neck shouldn't be treated the same way a miss is in a typical spot. It can be really serious and shouldn't be shrugged off as I know a lot of IV users do with their missed shots.
