Just a general thread - what are your techniques for minimizing body load on various substances?

I've had great results with strong ginger tea, using actual ginger root. I took it immediately after downing a san pedro broth, and though I got kind of queasy, I didn't throw up at any point. (Though actually, next time I'm going to take the tea after throwing up, since I feel purging is a healthy part of the process that shouldn't be circumvented.) On my next LSD trip, I'm going to see if this works on the nasty intestinal cramps it gives me.

For powders, I find dissolving them in a liquid and drinking the liquid very, very slowly minimizes the bodyload, especially the nausea, which is often a problem for me.

Eat healthy! With acid if I eat unhealthy before dosing I get the same intestinal cramps. When I eat good food prior to dosing the cramps don't seem to be as bad. I always make sure to stay hydrated before, during and after trippin as well.

That's an interesting point, I'm going to see how my gut handles it next time if I've only eaten fruit, rice and vegetables for a few days before tripping. Worst it can do is give my body some good biochemistry.

Should also mention, in the same vein as Axed, that I drunk the cactus juice over 50 minutes last time, which probably helped.

Yes! I've noticed that it's really easy to not remember to drink or eat anything while tripping, but it's so important to keep drinking water, even if it's only sipping it.

I eat well for a day or 2 beforehand, then refrain for eating for about 3 hours prior to tripping. I also try to move my bowels as much as possible before tripping to reduce that rumbly feeling in the gut. Then, after dropping, I try to keep active & move about, rather than sit still & just wait. Movement seems to help lessen bodyload during comeup.

Eating healthy is a good one, I agree. Grease can feel like it makes you heavy and dirty, apparently more so on particular psychedelics than others.

Rectal administration seems to make quite a difference as well, or intramuscular if you're up for that.

And also: dancing, yoga, meditation, or any other physical practice that gets things flowing.
