Mini-roll/MDMA flashbacks from music depressing?

Sometimes I get mini-rolls or MDMA flashbacks when listening to certain songs, basically a song will comeon that ive partied to while clubbing on MDMA and it feels like im a bit euphoric and almost rolling, sort of. Its a common thing for many MDMA users

However, I have been listening to a mixtape produced by a dj that plays at a club I used to roll at every weekend of all the big hit songs from the year. All the songs being played are ones that I have had great times rolling on and instead of getting MDMA flashbacks, BTw this is the first time ive heard this mixtape, I find myself in dysphoria really missing those times and nothing will ever feel as fun and as good. Has anyone else experienced this?

Used MDMA every weekend for over 3 months straight, combining meth for the last month of use so safe to say theres been some serotonergic damage done. Got to the point where rolling on MDMA makes me anxious, floored - but not in the way you want to be floored its a shit cant move feel like sleeping horrible floored, the magical effects of the drug just arent there anymore however if i take it with meth like I used to it works pretty good. This leads me to say... am I getting a mini roll listening to this mixtape, except it is causing the miniroll to feel like MDMA really feels now?

I didnt plan on rolling for a very long time, im talking a solid 12 month break minimum. Still recovering from the affects of abuse with mild depression, can get anxious over things, cognition isnt where it used to be and obviously rolling on MDMA aint fun anymore. However, my life at the moment I have just quit work, 18 and have no direction and socially lost many friends albeit they were never really true friends so that could be causing the depression.

EDIT: Currently listening to a song that I listened to rolling and was super euphoric, right now sober I feel like im having a miniroll however it is slightly euphoric, yet dysphoric and want to cry at the same time thinking of being in the club rolling to this song.

Curious to hear others opinions on this

I love when I get a mini-roll, at least it tells you your brain is able to release serotonin of its own and make itself feel good.
Just take a long break, if you feel you've abused too much, drugs are not toys, especially MDMA

haha i actually thought of that eclipsedesign, if only they provided something like a mini "roll" in shops

I think its pretty common to feel happy / sad about your past. What you take from the experience or the way that you view it is the key. Yeah it would be great if it was the same as it was 'back then' but it isn't. Accept that those times have passed and start working on creating the best you can for today, enjoy yourself safely and take care of yourself so in another 5 years you can look back with fond memories.

Try forcing it.. I can sometimes make myself feel like on some MDMA just be "pulling the face" and acting like i am..

Well, you gave me a good laugh, cheers :D.

Taking meth on top of MDMA? I don't even....

What of it? I love to party, I had my fun and wont be touching that combo again - its neurotoxic as fuck yeah lol I dont reccomend it. Still would say theres recovery to how I am feeling in the mood department im paying the price but fuck those methy nights of mdma were damn good :( bittersweet, I think it is just amatter of accepting it the only thing I can take from it is realising to really appreciate the future fun times even more and learn to treasure the past.

I remember when my 45/1 goals galore accumulator came in. I get sad when I think that won't happen again. We all miss the good times bud.

Sorry to bump this thread but I wanted to say that I feel somewhat similar.

When a song comes on that I really enjoyed listening to while rolling, I get this half-mini-euphoric/half-depressed feeling, followed by goosebumps and chills. I find it overall dysphoric because I miss those times so much.
