I'm running out of opioids and trying to REALLLY limit what I have as I'd normally go a couple days without anything at the end of my script but last time I went 36 hours and it was HELL and I'd never been physically sick from withdrawal before but I had continuous, VIOLENT rippling heaves of puke then, too. So I'm aiming for no days with zero opioids, but have little left to last until until I get my next dose Friday morning.

I took 12mg lope like 30 mins ago and feel a very slight high? I took 10mg morphine with it, but 10mg morphine normally isn't even enough to take away the worst of withdrawal.

The loperamide probably blocked up your plasma proteins (some 50% of a morphine dose gets lost to this) and gut receptors leaving the occupancy in your brain and cns receptors to be tickled from the little morphine dose that otherwise would have all got clogged up in your gut and plasma proteins

Cool!

You probably know this but don't use it too regularly cause it's bad asf for the heart and stomach

I wouldn't anyway. I have Complete Pancreatic Enzyme Deficiency caused by total pancreatic failure. People tend to know that that means I cannot produce any insulin, but don't realise your pancreas is also responsible for several digestive enzymes. This means sometimes I get extreme diarrhoea (not just shitting myself, but I can literally poop like 30 times in a day when it's bad).
I managed to "Cure" a bout of this by taking 28mg Lope per day. I was still going like 8-10 times a day but HUGE improvement on every 20 mins. I kept up that lope dose daily for 2-3 weeks and then stopped.
I have NEVER experienced such agonizing cramps in diarrhoea in my life as when I then went through what I guess was basically loperamide withdrawal. It was like opioid withdrawal but only GI symptoms but those GI issues increased 10-fold. I lost 18lbs in three weeks through the diarrhoea and also being too scared to eat.
Ever since then I never take it for more than the recommended 48 hrs (even if I take a lot more than suggested IN those 48hrs).

I use to abuse the hell out of loperamide.

I would throw all kinds of potentiators at it, to try & get it to cross the BBB & stay there.
In fact, I was reading about it here a LONG time ago before I even joined BL.

I have a heart arrhythmia now. No idea if it caused by my loperamide usage, but I do remember before the arrhythmia really kicked off, I would use loperamide & get funny heart beats on it.

It can kill you. And the buzz is usually a one off thing. No matter how many times I tried to replicate it, it just wouldn't happen again.
I'd say I've used loperamide at least 200x & I only got a "buzz" from it, maybe 2-3 times. The rest of the time was just wicked constipation.

One time I had a strong euphoria come on after taking it. I felt extremely good & comfortable & even laid down & then 30 minutes later the buzz completely disappeared. Like dropped off sharply. And I've always wondered if maybe, for whatever reason, the loperamide got across my BBB & stayed there, long enough to give me that 30 minutes of euphoria, before it was kicked back out by the P-glycoprotein system.

"When loperamide is taken with a PPI like omeprazole, it can lead to increased absorption and higher concentrations of loperamide in the brain. This can cause opioid-like effects and potentially lead to serious heart problems, especially at high doses, according to a 2024 StatPearls article"

This i s what I use to do, although I kept my doses waay lower than what some of the crazy people here I saw were doing.

I would describe the buzz as dirty, heavy, slightly relaxing, not much euphoria. But some times it was nice, especially in WD.
