Thank you, I am definatly gonna give flax seeds a try
I am with you on that... Opiates do make you try to eat right, mainitain a lean body and be healthier. I am gonna stay on the Opana because it works so well and I have been given so many great ideas and I have the problem mostly solved now.
I know some pain patients that are actually getting dopesick because of the new OC's... They're so bad, I'm not going on them at all.

Wow. You already have a really great diet. Props on that. I maintain the pretty much same diet myself for opioid constipation from the methadone my new PM doc started me on. (long story, plusses and minuses. Anyway…)
Anyway, the one thing that you can add is flax seeds. Buy them in bulk, then grind them and add them to a raisin bran/flax cereal. Or a really fiber-filled muesli. Depending on where you live, you can get all of these products for very affordable prices if you buy in bulk.
You absolutely have to grind the flax seeds in order for them to work, otherwise their slippery and tough coating will make them pass right through you. Also, grind only enough for, say, a week and keep them in the fridge in the meantime because the oil in them goes rancid quickly.
They were almost a miracle cure for me. I also added even more green fibrous veggies and take a "green magma" supplement: it's grass, spirulina, seaweed and barley and stuff. Works very well. Also keeps methadone weight down.
With all of the bad reviews ppl are giving the OPs (new OCs), you might want to give the Opana one last try before you give up what sounds like a great drug for you.
Looking at the positive side, the one thing I like about having to manage the opioid GI probs (b4 the 'done too) is that it forces me to eat my ideal diet and exercise in order to be as healthy and lean as possible. It sounds like you're doing the same thing.
Hope this works!
