Microsoft Confirms Gamers' Fears Over Xbox One

Fair enough. My point was that the main issues I had with disparity are no longer there. I never buy a new console on initial release (except the wii). I'll be on the current gen consoles for another year and a bit at least.

Sony slowly fucks gamers over. Microsoft tried to, then back pedalled due to outrage.

I reserve judgement until I can play them both. But console gaming is getting shittier by the minute.

Well, if by "even" you mean "the PS4 costs $100 less, has more powerful hardware [dat DDR5] and has 3-4x the 3rd party support [prior to today's announcement] of the Xbox One", then yes, they are even.

Comparing the performance of the systems is premature. All we have are marketing specs. Judge performance when they ship.

Yeah, me too. I'm saving up for a new computer right now (which puts console gaming a bit off of my radar atm), but I fully expect that I'll buy a PS4 within the next couple years. And honestly, I'll also probably buy the Xbox One (assuming it gets some good exclusives at some point) once it comes down in price and once all of the inevitable bugs have been worked out, especially if Xbox IllumiRoom ends up being cool, because I am a man who likes games more than he should and has plenty(ish) disposable income.

Besides the firmware and hacking messes I mentioned earlier, what other examples do you have of Sony fucking gamers over? I mean, shit, they've supported the PS2 for 13 years and plan on supporting the PS3 for at least the next 3 years (probably more though). After four different Xbox 360s, hundreds of dollars, and what seems like a million hours spent with Xbox customer service, my experience with Sony has been much more pleasurable than my experience with Microsoft - and that's just their gaming products.

Sorry dude, I can't afford to fly you from Australia to my sex dungeon/gaming room. Airline tickets are crazy expensive - I could probably buy several new consoles for that price, or at least pay off a small fraction of my student loans.

Perhaps my only reason for sticking with Microsoft is Halo and the seemingly superior controller.

Anyone have any idea if they will still have a wired controller?

i'd be surprised if they didn't have usb ports which can be used for wired.

I was Xbox, but I'd be a damn fool if I went with them this time around....

There is a bit of bias in the descriptions but great graphic. Put some things into perspective for me.

New choice - neither. F these companies and their BS.

Fuck this shit!
