^Hahaha I want a T-shirt with that pic of him ripping the bong on it myself.
It would say HARMLESS? in huge letters on it :D
A) me too.
B) I think this incident has come out as a win for marijuana. Even though there are still some folks who got really bent out of shape about it ("OMG WHAT ABOUT TEH CHILDRENZZZ!!" etc.), I think a lot of people realized that it really doesn't matter to them if an American hero uses marijuana. You could almost see the national media trying to work themselves up into anger over it, and then realizing that nobody wanted to hear it. USA Swimming suspended him, but only long enough that he wouldn't miss any meets. Kellogg's "dropped him" . . but in reality only chose not to renew a contract they weren't going to renew anyway. Subway backed down on their threats to drop him. Etc. etc. etc.
There just isn't any good reason to be upset about it, and I think a lot of people realized that when they tried to come up with one.
C) The sherriff trying to prosecute is quickly going to become a wildly unpopular man.
