Ok so I just got my prescription of Methylphenidate the other day 10mg of the Equasym brand, this was my first time trying anything I'd consider a stimulant.

It went a little like this, I took my first 10mg tablet at 10am, about 40 minutes later I noticed a really strange change in my visual perception, something I wasn't expecting at all, everything seemed much smaller in my house & I felt bigger (almost like a BFG in a doll house) & a lot more aware of my own body in space (I could consistantly feel & was aware of every part of my bodies frame while walking about) as opposed to usually not noticing it at all. I felt like a giant & when I went to wash my hands in the sink it felt like it had shrunk & I had grown taller & broadened out.

One hour after taking my tablet I started yawning & feeling really sleepy, I didn't feel like doing anything at this point & was a little baffled as to why I was feeling down & a lot less motivated to do things now as opposed to earlier in the day before taking it. I tried to wake myself up a little & had a snack but 30 minutes later I ended up having to lie down on my couch, I lay there half resting/trying to sleep for 80 minutes. The sleepyness passed, I got up & at this point, I felt ok again & much more alert, I started listening to some music & using the internet, my leg & arms were itching for a few minutes but apart from that I just felt normal again.

Anyone got any idea as to why this stuff is making me feel so sleepy? I won't ask why it didn't have any positive effect on motivation, attention etc as I was pretty much sleeping most of the time, but apart from the visual perception change & tiredness I felt nothing new.

there is an odd effect for those who consume larger doses of any form of speed/amps on the regular, that if you take lower than your normal dose, you actually become drowsy. i believe you can find out more in the other drugs forum.

for instance, ppl who are normally accustomed to small lines of meth a couple times a day, might go looking for a small fix when its dry, only to find that a tiny bump actually made them sleepy.

i dont think its actually "sleepy," more like sedated tho.

Tried same dose again today, my second time ever & wow! it was exactly the opposite this time, what a difference. This stuff works a damn treat, I was about 5x quicker than usual (no joke), still doing random stuff but I didn't get stuck day dreaming on one thing for ages like usual & I was doing many things at once while actually completing things etc etc god damn amazing!

When I took it yesterday I had it straight after a meal, this time I waited an hour after eating. I guess that may have had something to do with it or perhaps due to it being my first time, heck knows. I felt like shit when I woke up this morning & pretty depressed & pissed off with this stuff, but I don't care about that now this stuff has sure proven itself now. I think two doses a day may be in order though. Thanks for the reply

Hey there, I sent a follow up post to my original post on Methylphenidate making me tired a few days ago & it still hasn't been added, I'm unsure if I rememberd to put the title in the last post (either way it should have been obvious it was a follow up to that I think) but basically I was saying about the med having a positive effect the next day when I took my second ever dose etc. If you're not going to add the next post & only going to leave the whole story untold then I'd like you to remove my original post.

Thanks

Please have patience.

The staff here all have real lives and can't get to everything straight away. If you are so desperate to share your information, you can quite easily make an account and use it. This would mean not having to wait for a staff member to see your post, approve it and then merge with the appropriate thread.

In other anon/homeless news, the moderator overseeing these forums has just stepped down, so there is a longer than usual delay in processing threads in these forums. So, again, we ask patience as we deal with this situation on top of the rest of life etc.

CB.
