Methylphenidate + Marijuana | Experienced | Ritalin can be fun after all
I have always responded well to methylphenidate (ritalin) while on an SSRI. I am writing from the experience right now, and after ruling ritalin out as a decent drug for a long time I actually enjoy it now.
Doses: 80mg methylphenidate, 1 bowl dank
Time: 6:00 pm
0:00 I had a time release form of ritalin, 20mg per capsule, which I realized wouldn't be as good unless I crushed it up. I don't have my mortar here, so I used a flat metal opener and a bowl. It worked surpisingly well, so I took 20mg worth and snorted it. Right after, I poured the remaining 60mg in a glass of soda and let it dossolve a little, then drank it. Finally, I smoked one bowl of some really good indica to top it off.
0:15 By now the weed had really set in. I was feeling a lot of pleasant pressure in my head, and a marked pressure in my spine that I don't get from smoking alone. The sensations felt great, and it made me happy just to be enjoying myself in peace. I felt excited about life, but not "tweaked", a good mood really. I don't think much of the ritalin had kicked in yet, but I could definately feel a slightly stronger euphoria than with weed.
0:45 I felt absolutely great. The ritalin I had snorted had just peaked, I could tell - however it was obvious that I hadn't fully digested the rest yet. I talked on the phone and had some really great conversations. It seemed so easy to work through some of my problems that I had faced that week. I felt at ease after clearing up some random bullshit with my dad, and settled down to watch tv.
1:00 (now) I felt like doing something more productive so now I am writing this experience. The ritalin I drank has kicked in strong. I definately think the euphoria is enhanced by the weed, and vice versa. I would like to try and use these capsules to keep me awake when I smoke a lot on the weekend (where I usually get lazy and fall asleep). The mood of the two drugs are very complimentary, although my heart is beating a little faster than I'd like. Still, I am not sweaty or shaky too bad. I'm listening to a radiohead album and the notes sound so perfect and clear. I can really focus and get into it, and the bass feels good.
So, I'll let this be a shorter trip report. But I heartily recommend that anyone who doesn't like ritalin give it a shot with some good old bud. Happy trails.

really? i find if im stoned and i take ritalin it just dulls the weed high, sometimes gives me a headache and sobers me up.
