Cocaine Methylphenidate/Cocaine Cross-Tolerance

I've been banging my 40mg of Ritalin for a few months now... I got some "really good" rock twice a month or so ago (cooked down with an acid and injected), and both times it just sucked. I know Methylphenidate is more similar to Cocaine than it is to amphetamines. Is there a cross-tolerance? Or was the "really good" crack just baking soda with a pinch of coke?
