methylphenidate akathisia

well i've been an amphetamine user for a while now and after a while i noticed i started craving it so i decided to switch to a "softer" stimulant that would be more convenient. i had tried methylphenidate before (doses over 100 mg of XR) and always hated it because it made me really tweaky and dysphoric as compared to amphetamine which was a calm and focused high.

anyway i have connections to get free/cheap concertas but never took advantage of it since yesterday. i ended up popping just 1 concerta containing 54 mg of mph. the result was a mild coke-like rush comparable to one line of fine coke (speaking from experience) except that i noticed the horrid side effect that always plagued the high - akathisia. the urge to squirm in my seat and move for hours. i found it euphoric yet annoying so i ended up eating a bit and got to enjoy a mild buzz the rest of the day while watching trainspotting.

so i've come to a conclusion, i'm very sensitive to mph (weird since my amphetamine tolerance is quite high, takes me 75 mg of adderall XR just to get a good rush). i don't find this a unfortunate however since it only means i can get a buzz off of one pill at a time, but i would really appreciate if someone has a cure for the akathisia

I take it everyday and I've never experienced any kind of coke like rush from it, it just kinda calms me down and makes it easier to focus, the only part that I don't like is the come down but I have kpins for that.

Maybe take less or add a benzo but if you're not already habituated to benzos stay away from them, try another downer with your methylpheni-date.. if you try both of those ideas and she still gives you trouble just walk away! and don't give her your number either.

i'm quite the opposite, i get a nice rush similar to coke except the jitteriness and nervousness, and i NEVER get a crash from it, in fact sometimes i find myself sleeping 2 hours after taking it. i guess my brain chemistry is weird since everyone else finds it calming...

and if i had benzo's i'd save them for a rainy day, i love toughing out the crashes for some reason lol.d
