Methoxetamine vs Ketamine toxicity

I don't think anyone has any hard facts with regards to methoxetamine's toxicity. It generally does do something to the bladder though, it fills up quickly and people need to go to the toilet multiple times during a trip (which can be difficult :p ). Leaves you really dehydrated the next day. I have a suspicion that MXE is indeed toxic in this department, but it may be less so than ketamine because it isn't consumed in the same amounts. However, the fact that MXE is more potent could mean that doing less of it causes the equivalent damage to a larger dose of ketamine.

I would expect similar toxicity issues between mxe and ket. I have a feeling, however, it's mediated by the amount of chemical you're taking in. As doses with methoxetamine will tend to be smaller due to its potency, so will the risk of toxicity.

Methoxetamine is unknown in the scientific literature, however. I don't think LD50 studies have even happened; dosing mxe is playing with fire.

Can anyone give a dose to dose comparison for ketamine and methoxetamine?

What is 100mg of ket equal to for a methox dose?

I think methoxetamine is about 4 times more potent than ketamine.

to OP- in terms of toxicity. when I had a week bender on both ketamine and methoxetamine and then GBL, I emitted an unpleasant odor from my pores and my urine was dark for about 2 days. Then I drank water and it went away. However, I have never had any issues with my bladder from intense but infrequent ketamine use - like 10 grams in 2 days.(not showing off,) then waiting a month or 2 and then doing 7.5grams in about 2 days.

I know that is not data and nothing I wrote is cited, but I hope it helps and this is the basic drug discussion. so...

that i dont know. i would guess that daily use wouldnt be good (or realistic unless it was a short-acting form and one had built up a nice fat tolerance). Most ppl who use pcp, use occasionally which is not so toxic imho. Sorry I have no sources for u. Im in class.

PCP is much longer lasting and more potent than Ketamine (10-20x by mass iirc) and as a result would bee less toxic through the formation of the primary amines (norPCP/PCA).

I have a feeling there is a strong individual variance in how well your bladder handles arylcyclohexylamines. Some people seem to do regular large doses with no apparent ill effects, others have their bladders fail on low-ish doses with extended use.

What about gallbladder? Mine is screwed up. I've read that ketamine can cause it to contract, and the biliary ducts to swell/constrict, or something. I was about to purchase some MXE with an order I was placing, but I think I may opt out for the time being. I don't need anything that causes that thing to become upset.

Apologies this is sort of not on the same topic.

One thing that's worth considering when comparing the toxicity is that although MXE was developed intelligently with the idea of reducing bladder/kidney damage - this wasn't through attempting to make it less toxic, but simply making it more potent by weight so that users could consume less and do themselves less damage over time.

Reports seem rather conflicting and some heavy users are reporting no problems yet while others have reported similar kidney/bladder problems at a similar rate to if they'd been using Ketamine.

Personally I'd say to treat it like Ketamine and imagine that say 250mg of MXE is going to be equally or more toxic when compared to 250mg of Ketamine - just to stay on the safe side.

I certainly don't think long term daily/very regular use of MXE is advisable. That goes for even if it isn't toxic to the kidneys and bladder as we've all seen how delusional it can make people and how addictive it can be, it doesn't seem to have quite as much therapeutic potential as its older brother Ketamine imho.
