DHYANA: In laymens terms You thread 'wires' up through the femoral artery of the pig into the heart, and use pulses to disrupt sinus rhythym and cause ventricular fibrillation! The problem wasn't giving them the heart attacks, it was getting them back to sinus FOUR times in the period of 2 hours (Yes four heart attacks in 2 hours, so that we could try all four experimental conditions in a randomized order on each pig). I actually quit because of the co-workers incompetence resulting in worthless data while slaughtering pigs.
But this aside, others PLEASE READ my post 2 messages before.... there is no need to speculate on the mechanism of protection, as it's fairly well understood. And there is already enough misinformation in this thread.
