Here recently my girlfriend tried Meth for the first time. She said it was going to do it one time, but it has been months now.

When my girlfriend came over today, she told me of her recent experiences with Meth. In her own words:
“After getting home from work I decided I was going to do a line. I didn’t put no more than I would normally do. I felt the rush as normal, but an hour later my heart was racing beyond what I experienced in the past. Stayed awake for a while, out of fear of dying, until I finally fell asleep. I woke up the next morning feeling fine, and just categorized it as a self-induced panic attack.
I decided to do another line that day. This time I did just a little less than last night. Three hours later the top part of my nose had a numb feeling. My head felt as if it was full of pressure on each side, and I heard a constant ringing noise. My body was burning up, feeling like I should have been sweating, but I wasn’t sweating. I don’t know if it was my body temperature or blood pressure. This lasted most of the day when finally subsiding and leaving an ache in the Temple areas.
The next day I was curious if it’s the ROA that had a play. I put a very small amount down and snorted it. I have already been feeling the numbness/tightness in my nose, but the feeling became more noticeable. The pressure came back, but it wasn’t anything like before. ”

I know not to take others’ opinions/comments as professional advice. I would like to know if anyone encountered such a thing. I wonder if it’s because of a sinus infection (could Meth give you sinus infections)? She’s currently suffering from an abscessed wisdom tooth, could it affect anything? She said when she smokes or eats it she doesn’t have these side effects. She eats more than she snorts due to BA.
I’ve searched the internet for hours, and I can’t find an answer.
I tried convincing her to stop, but she’s not listing. Now I just have to look after well-being while this drug destroys her life slowly.

Yes, you run the risk of sinus infections when you snort drugs up your nose...I know from personal experience.

Smoking / Eating has a slow onset and is less likely to induce a panic attack in people prone to stimulant anxiety.
Also, the initial pain of snorting, I believe, may also have a psychological effect of putting her into a bad mindset from the get-go. (Which for people with stimulant anxiety can ruin their entire day)

She will be completely convinced she is dying during a panic attack. Every single time. I've experienced hundreds and each time I'm constantly thinking: "This is going to be the one that gets me, I know it" While my heart rate is barely going over 100bpm and my temperature is fine (lol). During an anxiety attack I tend to become hyper sensitive to every slight change/discomfort in my body.

But if she's new to it, no one really knows. She could actually be having something seriously wrong happening for all we know. The ticker is not something you wanna toy with if you think something could be wrong. I spent a good 900 dollars on a trip to the hospital one morning just to confirm through both EKG and x-ray that my heart was fine.

edit:
Hopefully the panic attacks will serve as a good indicator that the drug is not the road she wants to go down.
