I gather any regional forum faculty has sources and pricing as a central issue being "regional" discussion, Therefor I respect the priority of upholding such concern; as it preserves the ability for this forum to be available for other discussions.

I am wishing to discuss comparabilities between UK and Australia in government research.

Im interested in the future legality of another clubbing drug other than alcohol, especially in contrast with UK (where safer weekend substances like Ecstacy are so available and is less aggressive, arrogant and more loving)

According to UK government website research the difference of availability and the amount of quid makes it almost free! like beer is here.

Now I have a VAST experience with alcohol (mostly whiskey).

Im sick of alcohol it makes my dad violent and people immensely arrogant and generally causes stupor.:p

I dont know why its legal its more dangerous than pot because it makes you aggressive not passive but its all I use because of its legal availability.

I came from some sterile elite school and I found amongst those in uppermiddle class suburbs tend to abuse alcohol alot and dont touch drugs (atleast their parents dont touch them). When Ive gone to peoples houses Ive met who live in low income housing areas so many of their parents smoke pot and have Ecstacy lying around (along with having a few more kids running about). ;)

Im sick of alcohol its more neurotoxic psychiatrically longterm (dimentia, russian shortened life span) and its stupid its legal. What do I do? Move to UK where I can get the safer pharmaceutical amphetamines without having to deal with junkies where crime is rampant? 8o

According to online UK government websites; to them raising prices and availability of Ecstacy and other drugs is not their concern, such is why its so available like beer for weekend clubbers there. However to the UK government philosophy "influencing UK youngsters away from drugs AND educating them" is their central philosophy instead of implementing strategies to raise prices as the Australians newspapers like to boast. (I have collection of references available although a seasoned googler would be able to do this).

Simply observe people on pills in clubs and the love and compare it to the aggressive stupor of liquor.

Im fed up alcohol is so acceptable yet its the most degenerate intoxicant, this is the biggest paradox, especially when compared to ritalin etc which I was prescribed at for University. Are us australians doomed to be drinking ourselves stupid or is some law going to be passed or something that will fix this problem. :\

What do you guys think?

I'm not sure if I'd move internationally purely for better access to recreational drugs... perhaps if I had a chronic or life threatening illness and the treatment was only available overseas. There's more to life than getting inebriated on alcohol or any other drugs after all. You're kidding yourself if you think the UK is some forward-thinking, liberal haven for recreational users too; they fired the former government drugs adviser Prof David Nutt after all for sugesting MDMA or LSD were less harmful than alcohol.

I have lived in the UK for a few years, and while mdma is cheaper and more available over there, they still have people drinking themselves retarded every weekend just the same like they do over here.

Yes it would be great if MDMA was cheaper and more available in Oz but I don't think it is going to impact on alcohol related problems that much. A lot people prefer the alcohol buzz and coke/amphetamines to being high on MDMA or LSD.

Also I lived in Amsterdam during that time and while everything is available there and it is a good example of how weed should be legal everywhere. A lot of dutch kids and people still prefer alcohol as their main social drug to go out on.

Also I experienced a lot of alcohol related violence with dutch soccer hooligans - I always remember being chased for 20 min through the centre of The Hague for sprekking english in front of them on the tram - and these psychos were smoking super skunk and drinking beer.

So yes it sucks that we can't get good cheap MDMA easily, but don't take it out on alcohol, and don't believe that it will magically stop alcohol related problems cause it would of happened in other countries around the world already

I don't know what poor people you have been hanging out with but the majority still beat their wife and kids under the influence of alcohol.

I could think of plenty of better places to immigrate to than the UK for my daily hit. Costa Rica and their $20 grams and sunny beaches would be in my top five.

I have said it before, if you can tell what drug makes cheese and crackers tatse better than a glass of wine I'd love to know.

most me included would agree with your broad sentiment but perhaps not your specifics like moving overseas for this sole purpose. Don't get into the alcohol fueled crowd if you don't like it and explore the odd alternative but moving to the UK for it is a bit much, sounds a but knee jerk and maybe your just worked up about it right now.

Ill probably admit to a holiday with this in mind but not living somewhere. I taught English in Korea for a while and my god paracetamol was the most potent painkiller available at pharmacies comes in 650mg pills tho :|, that place was sterile

I almost went for a University trip, wish I did. I woulda been good at helping build houses and overly enthusiastic about the white water rafting trip involved.
