so,swim has a heroin habit,he can only get 10mg methadone pills, can someone suggest a way to get swim to tapper off of heroin with the 10mg methadone pills so he doesnt have withdrawls, how many a day and for how many days,swim ha no experiencut he no longer has insurance so he has e with methadone,swim was on suboxone 2 years ago bto buy off the streets and cant find suboxone only methadone,some one please make a tappering schedule for swim. swim does about .2 to a gram of h iv a day

We don't SWIM here, OP. It's against the rules and is quite silly.

I'd take as much Methadone as makes you comfortable (and out of WD), then reduce your dose by 10-20% every 3-4 days. Perhaps going a bit slower towards the end.

Work up slowly the first time you take Methadone, it's quite powerful and it can sneak up on you. I don't have much experience with Methadone, I've always used buprenorphine, but that's how I would do it. I'm sure very experienced Methadone users will chime in shortly.
