methadone + xanax

Mixing the two has always been fun for me. I was just wondering if there was anything that would enhance the nice combo anymore without risking my life more than i am. I have a high tolerance to both xanax and methadone so i was wondering what would make it feel better
 
Mixing opiates and benxos can be pretty dodgy as am sure you are aware. High tolerance might make it okay but be careful not to go overboard..

A sedating antihistamine such as promethezine or hydroxyzine (or any 1st gen antihistamine) might add to the nod without being too dangerous, but please be careful - don't add any alcohol to the mix or be tempted to up your methadone/xanax doses..

Thanks for the concern. I am well aware of the dangers. I was not looking to up the dose on either because I know my limits of the both. I was just wondering if there was anything to make the combo a little better.

I reckon sedating antihistamine is your best bet - prometh or hydroxyzine are my faves, but depends what you can get your hands on..

when it is time for nod the fuck out, I take a dilly, a soma, some tylenol and a bendryl*, a xanax, and my antidepressant, and smoke some weed.

Taking the methadone instead of the dilly should be similar, no?


* I discovered one of my favorite OTC muscle relaxing pain relievers (Percogesic) was just acetaminophen and Benadryl, but is fairly effective.
 
I was thinking of potentiating the methadone for the uppy (if thats a word) effect rather than the sedating effect of the xanax though any help

I knew somebody who died at 19 from the combination of methadone and benzos.

Are you a marijuana fan? I've always found marijuana to potentiate both opioids and benzos quite nicely.

As the other poster mentioned smoking weed with benzos/opiates is a great combination.

I presume smoking weed is also a safer option than adding any other synthetic substances into the mix.
 
Why is weed inherently "safer" because it is natural?

OP, I assumed you were a smoker cos of your username!

I'm still voting for a sedating antihistamine like promethezine or hydroxyzine, or diphenhydramine, although I dislike that one, makes me feel funny..
 
weed of course and some lyrica. that's one of my favorite combos. if i got the extra cash ill buy some roxi and take that too, but if you don't have a high tolerance than i dont recommend it. but usually benzo's + methadone + weed + lyrica will have me in super nod land. make sure not to take it to far as the combo will synergize and sneak up on you and before you kno it you will be sooo fucked up
