Im switching to methadone to Suboxone and have to be clean for 3 days and cant take anything to help with withdrawals..I am soooo scared cause I know what that feels like but atleast I had medication to help me! any suggestions on what to do to help the three days im in hell?

i heard that if u tapered down to 30mg of done, u can change to subs effectively. is there a reason why u stopped done cold turkey? what dose of done were u on?
maybe clonidine or benzo or a ambien may help? do u have a dr that u are seeing?

OP has to stay clean during this period. If you cannot take any chemicals I would just recommend a good diet and exercise to get yourself through this rough time. I don't know how long you have until this 3 day period but I would also recommend that you taper down as much on the methadone as possible so the withdrawals are not as bad.

I also heard about tapering right down on methadone and having a 24 hour gap and going straight onto suboxone.

I switched over after 36 hours - no problems with the naltrexolone - if you are stuck waiting benzos will become your best friend. Loperamide , zofran , clonodine , somas + whatever benzo works best for you. Always my cocktail when i kcked opies n didn't go to detox / had subs.

If your receptors are still covered w/ done' the subs' are gonna make you feel like pure hell...
I've taken 8mg. of subutex 12 hours after 120 mg's of oxycontin no probem, but on top of methadone is a different story

I took about 2mg of Subutex 6-7h after my last heroin fix and became violently ill. Thats the only time ive taken Bupe too soon. Didn't make that misstake twice, hehe.
But anyway, stay positive, don't think pessimistic thoughts like "oh man its gonna hirt, oh my restless legs" and stuff like that.
Meth has a pretty long halflife so you will not get sick the first day(s) so its not gonna be that bad. Keep reminding yourself that you will soon have your new med (suboxone) to ease whatever WD's you might feel!

The methadone has to be depleated before the sub's will actually help you feel better - sorry
