Opioids methadone newbie, please help asap<3

I just shot up like a 45mil of oxy about 3 days ago or so. I am super sick right now with a fever. Just took ibuprofen and aleeve. I feel like shit....

I have ten 10miligram methadones......im curious to take one but and am complete newbie with methadone.

I don't want to withdraw. What is a good dose to start with and cut cold turkey at for a little high to help me through my sickness? lawl.
Im thinking about taking a 10mil pill or maybe breaking it and taking 5 milligrams? ..not sure


also prior about 6-8 days ago now I shot up a total of 440 milligrams of dilaudid which i tapered off at 2miligrams for the last two days and quit cold turkey with benzos.

any feedback about the methadone would help, please and thanks =)

fuck man if no-one can give me any advice in the next 30 min i think I'm just gonna pop a 5mil then maybe pop the other 5 if its not chill enough lol .... i feel like shiiiiit -____-

You got it right. Methadone takes a while to kick in, several hours or so, and has an extremely long half-life. Remember you can always add but not take away. 440 milligrams of dilaudid, you scored there, thats my fav. opioid

It's kind of hard to say, becaue it sounds like you had been shooting quite a but if dilaudid, quit that for three days, than shot some oxy, which revived the withdrawals. Ten mg of methadone should be enough at this point to make you feel a lot better. But like kidContin said, methadone can take a real long time to kick in, so wait about two hours before deciding to redose. The first time I took methadone it took about three hours to hit me, and after the first hour (I had dosed 50mg), I took another 50mg because I thought I didn't take enough. That was a big mistake, because after three hours, it all hit me at once, and I was dangerously high.

thanks guys ahah yeah I was super impatient that day because I was sick. I ended up going to my doctor and scoring a bottle of tussionex cough syrup(10mil hydro per teaspoon) so I was justttttt fiiiiiiine for the next 2 days heh =) but today was having a lil hydrocodone sickness but I Just took 20mil of methadone and feelin mellow=) I think I'm just going to not redose on the methadone and be done till i score my next script of dill's sorry for posting such a rushed topic haha.... one love
