Methadone dosing no tolerance

I recently came into 6 10mg Methadone pills. I have taken many opiates in the past and they are my favorite drug of choice. I took roughly 13 mg today around 3:30 and have been flying high since T:+2:00.

My question is: when is the next time I can redose safely? I know the half life is very long. It probably isn't a good idea for me to redose until 24 hours after my first time popping em? I really enjoy these and their duration but I want to be safe

Due to the long half life (~36 hours), I would avoid re-dosing for ATLEAST 24 hours. Because even though you may not feel high anymore, there still will be a lot of the drug left in your system, which can cause you trouble because it will build up over a few days of constant use.

Are you dependent on opiates? Or just use from time to time? if you are a regular user, I would wait until you start to feel withdrawal to re-dose. If you are just a chipper, then in the name of harm reduction, I would honestly wait like 2-3 days before taking any more.

Methadone is a great drug in my opinion, (personally have been on methadone maintenance for 1.5 years about) but if you mistreat her, she will strike you down with a fucking vengeance. Methadone overdoses are very common because people re-dose too soon, and don't understand how powerful methadone really is. Throw some benzos/booze into the mix and then you're really playing with fire.

I am not dependent on opiates at the moment. I haven't done any in quite some time actually due to financial problems. I've been sticking to the herb lately. Just woke up and have minor opie hangover but nothing too bad. Just a slight headache. I took my dose of 13 mg yesterday at 3:30. It was very strong and surprising. I would compare it to 30 mg hydro but with ungodly duration. Thanks for the tips. Would I be safe dosing 10mg at 3:30 again?

Also, I am not too sure about methadone prices. I received the 60 mg for $20. Does this seem like a fair price?

You should be fine if you dose 10mg at 3:30 today. As for the prices, price discussion is unfortunately not allowed here on bluelight, outside of the price thread.

I say no more than 10mg and keep in mind it sometimes takes methadone 4 hours to feel its peek effects

You got a great deal.

Don't take more than 10 at first......wait at least a few hours before you even consider taking more.

It takes a couple days of repeat dosing to get the max out of it but be VERY careful. Methadone is very addictive and the withdrawls are worse than heroin, last for a whole lot longer.

I would warn you to not take it for more than 4-5 days and then stop. Dont take it again after that for a couple months.

As a long time methadone addict I can tell you honestly you do not ever want to get to where I am at. Be safe and enjoy, it will make you think that you just need a little more to get a great high but there is no such thing, it will just give you a headache and/or put you to sleep If you over do it.

You need to wait 24 hours before redosing. They aren't as effective and you have a higher chance of OD'ing if you take them too soon.
