Misc (methadone) Can I ask for lower dose without seeing the doctor on MMT

Hey..

I started my meth maintenance at 30 mg on Friday and now they have me at 50 mg. The 50 mg dose had me nodding out all day long..falling asleep everytime i sat down..which is unacceptable because I will get in trouble at outpatient for nodding out in small group. The 30 mg dose was perfect I had no cravings at 30 and I had plenty of energy (no nodding).. I go in two hours to get dosed and their goin to offer me 60 mg but 50 was too much. Can I tell the dossier that I only want to take 30 mg without having to wait to see the doctor. I have outpatient at 7:30 and clinic opens at 6:30 so I don't have time to wait to see the doctor to request my original dose.. Does the dosing lady have the power to grant my request of taking just 30 mg today? I don't have time to wait for the doctor or I'll miss outpatient but I don't want to take more then 30 mg today and their all setup to give me 60 mg. Do I have to see the doctor or can I tell the dosing doctor I only want 30 when I get to the window?

Nah man, sorry, but you have to see your prescriber for ANY changes in dose ADVICE...Stay as low as you can, DONT stay on it any longer than absolutely nescessary!! Its a bloody hard trap to get out of, with a MONTH of withdrawal. Even weaning off the stuff is not pleasant, for a long time If your on it for any length of time!! Use it strictly to get off opiates as fast as possible!! This maintenance is great for the government, but the shit stuffs you up if you stay on it long. Took me bloody years to get rid of the stuff, where with pure Thai white, its only a 5 to 7 day, kick the covers and sweat!! Anyone can manage this, but a month??? No way, ive tried See your doctor FAST, you dont want to get used to 60 if 30 works!!!
