I looked briefly before posting this thread.
If you are on methadone or the other already prior to being sentenced any amount of time in a county jail or whatnot, (I know it probably depends big tie on the area and whichever jail it is, as well as other matters) will you get it when you are in there? Like I mean if you get it legitimately from a doctor prior to entering jail, not if you are a heroin addict and are withdrawing from opiates, just specifically if you have it given to you already before the time... like if you're in treatment then wind up in jail will they give you what the clinic was giving you? God, that would be so horrible and is one of my biggest fears right now that if I get into trouble somehow or for something stupid especially and I go in jail with a 110mg prescription a day and just not get it.. I could only imagine how bad I would be sick.
So just a question, and I think about that a lot, or another similar situation like in a hospital while you are unconscious or something then wake up in full blown w/d would they give you some if you got it prior to.
Now to blabber on...
Just a thought. I can't believe its been 3 months already since I started my MMT, it goes fast. I'm expecting a 2 year period of time on it maybe a little more before I get off... the first year is just to stabilize me on it then from there on I'll be getting tapered at my command I believe. I just reached "maintenance status" with my dose. I personally think I could even get away with 100mg maybe 90 but I'll let them keep it that way as it does work amazing for me.
Anyways though the jail question.. thanks guys. and girls. haha
